Merry Christmas!

We spent Christmas in Hurricane at my parents home. Teni recieved so many gifts but was more excited about the boxes they came in. We had a huge Christmas Eve dinner and a big Christmas day breakfast. It was so fun to be around my entire family and Teni had so much fun.

This year for Christmas my family focused on giving to another family. We decided to give a money tree. We bought a medium sized tree and clipped money all over, we completely covered the tree. We had 1 to 20 dollar bills clipped on equaling up to 500 hundred dollars all together . We than dropped the "money tree" off on the doorstep of the family we thought deserved this gift the most. Troy and Tenney delivered the tree by doorbell ditch and I sat in the car with my mother and sister to watch the family's reaction. Tenney and Troy got away just in time before the door flew open. The family's reaction was priceless. We heard "Oh my heck! what is this?" than we heard "Mom look! look what's at our door." We didn't stick around for long but just long enough to see their reaction. I was so happy that night and I knew we had given to a deserving family. (What a great Christmas!)

Teni loves playing with our DVD covers. Everyday he crawls right over to the entertainment center and trashes every movie that I organize....oh well I guess it's worth it since it does give me some time to get things finished around the house.

Fun At The Park

We took Teni to the park today after doing some shopping at Macy's. It was such a nice day and Teni absolutely loved it. He was so intrigued with the grass and the feel of it. These pictures came out perfect because Teni was soooo ready for them. He knew exactly what to do when we pulled the camera out. He sure is a Worthen. Chris would be proud.

Teni is such a blast to have. He looks exactly like Troy but definitely wants his Mom. He hardly cries except for when he is hungry. I can't believe he is already sleeping through the night. I believe he is going through a growth spurt which explains why he eats, sleeps, and grows so much.

Hawaii

We got the opportunity to go to Hawaii for Anton and Tavi's wedding. They had a beautiful ceremony and a fun reception. We spent 4 days in paradise and did so much. Best of all Teni was able to experience all of this with us! We stayed at such a wonderful resort and had the best room service. The food was great, the entertainment was amazing and we experienced this with my "whole" family. Thank you Anton and Tavi for this incredible trip.

Growing Like A Weed

Teni is changing and growing every single day. His face is clear of his bruise and he is so alert. He does nothing but sleep and eat. I am so excited to see what he will do next.

On Feb. 27 at 5:45 AM Teniseli Worthen was born. He weighed 9lbs 14oz and was 19 1/2 inches long. It was such a long process but I was just happy to know that Teni was healthy. The delivery was sooo tough and very long. Teni, like his father has very broad shoulders which doctors thought they would have to dislocate to "pull" him out, but luckily I was able to push him out before they could have it done. After delivering him I expected the nurses to bring Teni to me so I can hold him but that didn't happen at all. They quickly rushed him out with Troy and I found myself all alone with about 7 nurses and my doctor. I immediatly knew something was wrong when I saw a very concerned look on my doctor's face. Come to find out my uterus was not contracting which caused me to lose alot of blood. Eventually I was given a blood transfusion and things got better. My uterus slowly starting contracting after I was given another dose of potocin, which by the way does not feel good especially because my epidural wore off. After about an hour of hospital staff working on me I was finally able to see and hold Teni. It was like nothing I ever imagined. He was absolutely beautiful. His face was bruised because of the tough delivery but other than that, he was perfect. I can't believe how much this little guy means to me. As soon as he was delivered Troy couldn't help himself but cry. I knew exactly what Troy was feeling because when I held Teni for the first time my reaction was the same, nothing but tears. We are so excited and blessed to have Teni with us and I can't imagine life without him. He is absolutely amazing and has such a sweet spirit. This was definitely the hardest thing I have ever done but the greatest thing I have ever accomplished.
