My First Shiner

We just got back from visiting my family in St. George and Teni, as you can see, came home with a little something extra....his very first shinner. Not even 3 yet and Teni has had a broken thumb and a black eye. I am sure that this will not be his last injury but I hope he will slow down a bit.

Story:

Teni was going down a big slide (head first) when at the same time, a little girl was climbing up the slide. Teni's face smacked right into the top of her head. Of course Teni didn't cry. After rubbing his eye and saying "ouch," he wanted to continue down the slide but the poor little girl screamed and was immediatly taken home from her parents. That is how Teni was given his first shiner.

I found Troy and Alyia fast asleep in the middle of watching Nascar. This was just one of those cute "daddy/daughter" moments I happen to capture, but I am sure there will be more to come.

Day At The Park

We spent the day at the Spanish Fork park because it was so beautiful. We try to take advantage of every nice day that comes our way. Here are some pics of our time there.

We went to Page, AZ for Easter. Troy's parents found a cute Lightning Mcqueen easter basket for Teni. He had so much fun hunting for eggs. His favorite part of course was the candy. It was good to get away and just relax. The weather was great in Page and our family had a good time.

Today we celebrated Troy's 29th birthday. I got him this awesome golf bag because his old one was sooo ancient. Tom helped me pick one out because of course I don't know the first thing about golf. I surprised Troy with this gift a day early so it could be a surprise and he loved it. We had some family come over for dinner and cake.

A Cars Rug From Grandma and Papa Worthen

We celebrated Teni's 2 years old birthday tonight. It was really low key, seeing how we just got back from the hospital a few nights ago. Teni recieved "Cars" toys and clothes, which he was thrilled to have. Tom came over with Abbey and Austin to celebrate. It didn't last very long but was short and sweet. We will definitely have to make up for it next year. "Don't worry Teni your 3 year birthday party will be a great event."

Presenting Alyia Jayde Worthen

Alyia Jayde Worthen was born at 1:52 PM on February 21, 2007. She weighed 8lbs 4oz and was 21 1/2 inches long. She is absolutely beautiful! This delivery was nothing like my first. First of all, Troy totally fainted in the middle of me getting my epidural. Luckily, two nurses were behind him to catch his fall. I couldn't help but laugh, I guess seeing the epidural needle just did not sit well with him. I was kind of happy for the distraction Troy caused because it took my mind off the long needle being injected in my back. Alyia came fast and easy (the way I prefer it). She was perfectly healthy and strong. I held her as soon as I delivered her and I even got to nurse her right away (she's a natural). Teni spent the night with his cousins Abbey, Austin, and Taylor. Troy was with me all day long but would go home to rest (the couch in my room is not comfortable at all, we learned that with our first baby). I stayed at the hospital for 2 nights then made my way home with our new addition. We are so excited to have our little princess with us. Teni loves his little sister and watches every move she makes. He is so gentle and kind to her.

So Many Expressions

Teni is so hilarious, he just loves to pose for the camera. He definitely is a "Worthen" when it comes to being camera ready. When I took these pictures I just laughed and laughed because he was so animated and it truly captured his personality.
