Pumpkin Patch

We took the girls to a pumpkin patch this year. It was a lot of fun. We started the day off by going to the craft fair at Minico High School and then we headed over to the pumpkin patch. I have never been to one so it was a fun time. We then went back to Lindsay's and carved pumpkins. It was a fun day!!

Update!

Here are just a few things that I have been up to lately.. I have slowly started to refinish furniture. This was my first piece and it was a lot of fun and actually pretty easy. I love how it turned out.

Lindsay quit the Steakhouse out here to Malta about a month ago so I was no longer babysitting every week. But she found a job in Burley at KO KO Fit. So I go into Burley once a week to help with babysitting. This particular day these two were on one..

I decided that I was going to try canning a little more this year. I always do jam and every once in awhile I do peaches. But this year I decided to do Salsa, Spaghetti sauce and Apple pie filling. They all turned out great I am super excited to have a few things in my food storage:)

I was also in charge of our Super Saturday this year this is just three of the crafts we had available. I am loving my calling I am so grateful for this experience.

Go Orange, Go Big Blue, FIGHT-FIGHT BSU!!

We had the opportunity to go to another Boise State game this year. We decided to get tickets for my mom and dad for their birthdays. Even though it wasn't close to their birthdays:) But it was a lot of fun. When we originally bought the tickets the game was suppose to be at 1:00PM but then the time got changed to 8:15 that night which was a little late when we had to drive all the way back home. But it was still a lot of fun I wish Todd's schedule worked so we could get season tickets. I love being there it is a fun experience.

Fire Wood!!

We have spent the last two months making several trips to go get firewood. It has been an adventure that is for sure. But I am so grateful that we were able to get as much as we have (still hoping for one more load).. One night we went with my parents up to look for a good spot to go and we saw two Moose. I was super excited because I have never seen a moose before. We also saw some elk another time that we went but I forgot my camera that time. I really don't like winter all that much but having all this firewood makes it a little more enjoyable, knowing I will be warm all winter!! I am so grateful I have a hard working husband who is willing to go chop down firewood for us..

My Dear Friend Jayme

Tonight I had one of my BEST FRIENDS stop by and visit. She moved to Alaska a little over a year ago. It was so good to see her and get to catch up for awhile. I miss her so much. I remember when we lived in Twin together and all the late nights that we spent staying up and talking about life and the trails that we were facing, the worries that we had. We shared lots of tears and lots of laughs. I am so grateful that we were able to become such great friends. I hope she knows how much she means to me. Its hard to find good friends anymore and Wizzard AKA Jayme Manning you are a great friend. I am so happy to see how happy she is. They have the cutest little boy that they are foster parents too. And you can just see how much they love this little boy. It shows in everything they do. That little boy is the light of their lives. I am so happy for her and for the happiness that she has found. She is such a great example to me. To know that there is hope when things seem so bad. She has been through so much, more than I can even imagine going through and now they have this little boy to love and bring Joy into their lives. Jayme I love you friend and I am so happy for you and your cute little family. You guys look so Happy and you deserve all of this..  

Two Amazing People!!

Lindsay had a birthday on August 19th and my mom had a birthday on September 5th. I am so lucky to have these two in my life. I am so close to my family and I am so grateful that I can count on both of them. My mom has been there so many times for me when I have needed her. Even if I am a mess and cant stop crying she is always there to help me through everything. I am so grateful for her amazing testimony and for her love for our Savior Jesus Christ. She is an amazing example to our whole family.

I am so grateful for my little sister she is such a great friend. I am so lucky to have her in my life and to be able to talk to her about anything. She is such a great mom and she has given us two of the cutest kids to love on. She is a great example to me. I hope they both know how grateful I am to have them both in my life. I love you mom and Lindsay

Happy Birthday!!

I can't believe how fast time is going by. It just seems like both of these girls were babies yesterday. We celebrated Madison's Birthday in August she turned 4 on August 9th. She has grown up so fast. She is such a fun little girl. It amazes me how smart she is. The other day she was playing a game on the iPad and the lady said "that was astonishing" and Madison just said "that was astonishing" right back to her, it was like she had been saying astonishing all her life. Such a CUTE AND FUN little girl.

Then we celebrated Ainsley's birthday in September she turned 2 on September 5th. This sweet little girl is growing up way too fast. Her favorite thing to say is "Thank You" and "Bye".. It is so dang cute. She stayed this last weekend with me and I bet in a half hour time frame she said bye to me at least a dozen times. She would come into the room and have a conversation with me and then it was time for her to leave so she would say BYE with the biggest smile on her face. And then two minutes later she would be back in the room talking to me. I am so lucky to be an aunt to these two sweet girls. I hope they both know how much I love them...  

Gillette Competition

We went back to Gillette Wyoming this year for another Competition for Todd's work. We were there the first week in August. It was fun the first day we were there we got to go out and see "The Devils Tower".. It was really cool. The completion was fun. The weather was CRAZY while we were there. A lot of rain and hail and even a Tornado. One night when we headed into one of the banquet things the sirens went off for a Tornado. I am not going to lie I was a little freaked but luckily we were safe. It was a fun little vacation but man it is a long drive..

Jackson Hole

A few weeks ago my family got to go to Jackson Hole for a few days. My dad had a ropin up there so our family decided to make a trip out of it. Todd didn't get to go because he had to work, but everyone else was able to go. It was nice to be able to get away for the weekend and enjoy some time together as a family. I was very warm up there it was in the 90's everyday so we spent a lot of time in the pool.. I love Jackson Hole it is so beautiful up there and I love being surrounded by mountains and trees. 

1ST PLACE!!!

 Todd had his 2nd competition this last weekend down in Elko. It started in Thursday and didn't get done till late Saturday night. They did AWESOME... On Friday they had seven different stations that they had to do. And they took 2nd in the Hazmat Station, the Fire Station and the Written Test Station; So going into Saturday they were sitting 4th overall out of 15 teams. They kicked butt on Saturday it was so exciting to watch them perform and do what they do. There was a guy in the scenario that had a bag with him that had dynamite in it and if the teams didn't take the right precautions then it would set off some firecrackers and whatever teammates were around a certain truck were considered dead and they were no longer allowed to help they had to sit out. Todd's team did awesome the firecrackers never went off and they were able to get all the patients out and cared for. After all was said and done we had to wait till Saturday night to see where they ended up. And they ended up taking 1ST!! They were all so excited. They have worked very hard for this and their hard work is finally paying off.
