Derric's New Sport

Saturday Derric decided to tag along with our neighbors to do a little mountain biking. He hasn't been mountain biking since I think we have been married! It was a little wet and muddie from all the rain that we have been having, but that just makes it more challenging. It was a good work out and a bit of a rush! He said had so much fun he thinks that he wants to make it his new hobbie!

Ticket to Ride...

The kids in the neighborhood have been coming up with some of the funniest things to keep them entertained. Here they pulled out all the bikes and scooters they could find and tied them all behind the jeeps, making a huge train. At one point they were pulling seven kids behind it! Crazy!

Derric and the Big 33!

I love this guy so much! I always love celebrating him on his special day! This year he got to go to the UFC Throw Down fights with Joe & Brian on Saturday night(which they said they probably won't do again). Then on Sunday we had a big bar-bq with family and friends hosted by his mother in their new spacious house and backyard. On Monday I set up a surprise for him to go golfing with John(step-dad),Dairrel(father-in-law) & Joe(brother-in-law). That night we had cake and presents! It seemed like his birthday went on forever but he definitely deserves it! We think he is the greatest guy around! Plus he is 33 and still HOT!!! Unfortunetly this is the only birthday picture I got this year.

I love reading little talks or quotes during my daily scripture reading that get me more motivated for each day! I thought that I would start to leave them on my blog and share them with all ya'll too! They are just over to the right. Right now I am reading from the 2008 Womens Conference Talks~ "Awake, Arise and Come Unto Christ" It is full of great lessons to learn and helps me to realize the great influence a mother and wife has in this society. It also has helped me to realize we just need to be happy everyday no matter our situation and to love and serve others and forget yourself! I can't promise that there will be a new one everyday, but I will try to update it every now and again!

Summer Time Fun!

I am so glad that it is summertime! After 2 yrs of taking care of my buisness, I promised myself that once I sold it that I would do nothing but hang out with my kids when I could because they are growing up so fast! Well that is what we have done and it has been so fun! I have become a porch rat these past days and don't feel guilty one bit for getting nothing done! We love our new neighborhood too~There are great kids for neighbors, and a set for each of my kids that are the same age. They all wake up at 9am and knock on each others doors and then ride off on bikes and scooters and jeeps until it is time to come in at night. Of course there has been other activities as well~ trampolines,sprinklers,pools and water balloon fights. We also caught this cute frog, Rhino the other day after a rainstorm. Unfortunately we had to let him go after four days because he was dying!

Drae Graduates Joy School!

Ok so I am not like a lot of people in a sense that although I think that a graduation for a 3yr old is totally cute, it is also totally ridiculous! Daxton kept saying why does Drae get to graduate and I don't? We are proud of Drae though for his accomplishments this year in Joy School! He learned to make goals and to interact with other kids. To share and listen and to not hit or kick or bite or push!He also learned the importance of trust, learning and family to name a few. Great job Drae!
