What would you do with a million dollars???

Derric finally has an answer to what he would do if he had a million dollars!! He would buy Lexus Club seats to the Jazz games. We definitley are not named the 'Jones' so we get excited to have opportunities like this! A friend of Derric's from work asked us if we wanted to go with he and his wife to the Jazz game. All he said was that he thought they were really good seats. Well we got there and had to use the same enterance as the players and to go straight down where the locker rooms and meeting rooms are. We went into the Lexus Club room where we dined on tri-tip, pork loin and salmon, with a hundred fabulous sides. Jerry Sloan miandered through the lounge making small talk with family and friends! We then got to our seat which we had to walk ONTO the court to get to. We were seated right behind the announcers and had a great shot of the players checking in, the stats and the refs doing their stretching. Each seat had a TV so you could watch the jumbo tran, ESPN or the game live. They also each had something to snack on. After each quarter they brought us out some drinks and then at half time we got to go back to the Lexus room for some dessert. The best part was being so close to Kyle Korver! Derric got a little offended when I told him that he couldn't put his arm around me when Kyle was on the court! We also got a good veiw of our friends Adam & Jenn from across the court sitting in the exact same seats only on the other side! Then we ran into an old friend Andrea sitting to our side! We didn't know we had so many friends in high places!Ha Ha Ha! We were watching ESPN when we got into bed that night and laughed as we saw ourselves on TV. I told Derric that will probably be the only time he sees himself on ESPN!

Ice Skating!

Daxton & Draedon have been begging us to take them ice-skating, so we finally did it-and won't do it again for a really long time. The fact that Derric and I can barely stand on our own two feet and skate, it is a little hard to help three kids that can't stand on theirs! The most exciting part was getting our skates on-then we made it 1/2 way around the rink and Draedon & Claire were crying hysterically and Daxton was complaining like no other! Draedon & claire would not move anymore and it was quite embarrassing. We even caused a few crashes! So I picked them up and slowly tried to make my way back to the entrance. Derric then was able to focus on Daxton(by focus I mean getting him a cone so he could skate by himself). They lasted maybe 20mins and then we were back in the car and on our way home.

Just goes to show you-pictures really DON"T capture the moment! Here we are acting like we just had the time of our lives!

Dancing with the Stars

One of my Christmas presents from Santa was tickets to the Dancing with the Stars live tour! Derric said that there was no way that he was going to go and I needed to invite someone. My sister-in-laws Miranda & Janel got tickets as well and they were planning on taking their sons, Landen who is 11yrs and has ballroom danced and Liam 6yrs who watched the show religiously with Janel each week. I knew Daxton was not going to sit through the whole show and I knew that he would not appreciate their dancing techniques, so I decided to take my mom who I watched the show with all the time. It was a great show and something that I would recommend watching right before the New Year and making resolutions. Those girls in their skimpy outfits with awsome abs- It makes the best of us feel as though we need to run a little longer on the treadmill. I was glad that I didn't take Daxton when I saw my sister-in-laws covering my nephews eyes most of the time. Really those costumes don't consist of too much fabric and when four of them are giving Lance Bass a lap dance you feel a little uncomfortable!

Happy New Year!

Okay so I am a little late with this post, as I am with everything. Thats why I told Derric that I am not even going to bother with New Year Resolutions this year. I am just going to go off my list from last year which I am still struggling to perfect. They are so boring and always the same...Lose the baby fat(by the way my baby is almost 2yrs old), exercise more, eat healthy, cook more dinners,etc,etc,etc. I hope that everyone had a great New Years and that you all have made great resolutions to "be fine in 2009"!

We had a fun New Years! We got a babysitter and went out with our friends Brian & Marci to dinner and a movie. We got home to Brian & Marci's about 15 minutes before the ball dropped so we watched till the new year, kissed each other and scooped up the kids and headed home. Then on New Years day we had Brian & Marci over again and Amanda & Craig to have dinner and play games. We are a little crowded in my parents basement apartment, but that doesn't keep us from always throwing a party! We stayed up late and even Amanda was able to stay awake!

The adults getting a little competitive with the stackers! It is so fun to play! The guys got out their brooms and took a sweep of the gals! Marci was overall winner of the bracket we made up-just barely knocking off Cassie! What can I say, I get nervous under pressure! Good Job Marci!

Daxton Hits the Slopes!

Snowboarding!

Clay and Cheryl came out for Christmas and were taking Gavin to go snowboarding. We decided that maybe we would take Dax too. We were a little reluctant because we didn't want to spend money and a whole day miserable in the snow if Daxton was just going to cry and whine, or worse break a leg. Well we decided last minute to take him, mostly because Derric and I both haven't been on the slopes for over a year and our boards were getting a little rusty. Daxton surprised us and did amazing for his first time! He never complained about all the falling down or the tough time getting off the ski lifts. He loved it and didn't want to leave. I think he was just trying to keep up with his cool cousin Gavin who is a stud on the slopes! Gav skates too and has even been in some competitions in Cali. It was a fun day, we were glad to have Clay and Cheryl encourage us to go!

Just got Dax his board and we are off to the bunny hill!
