Flu

For anyone who's wondering why i've suddenly decided to turn into a hermit, I offer you one word: FLU
Damn that virus.

I was infected since after I came back from shah alam two weeks ago.

Am still freaking sneezing my nose off.

my sister's surprised that my nose it still intact. (she's keeping her distance with me)

Head's spinning.

Am going back to sleep.

Shah Alam

Couple of days ago, i walked into KFC and ordered myself an ice cream and some fries (dinner).

I realised I haven't heard my own voice for almost a week.
My housemate went out with her parents and has some church activities to attend so I'm left alone in the hostel.
It's a pretty cool experiment actually. I wanna try and find out how long I can stand not talking.

Not very long.

I'm humming the pirates of the Caribbean song as I type.

And i have a confession to make.
I am currently in love with the song, 'Parla Piu Piano.'

...

1972

Hence the horrible screeching noise.

I apologize to the rest of the miserable folks in Akasia.

...

Blame Gianni Morandi.

...

I'm sorry.

Paradox

Example of a paradox: I hate toefl, however I like toefl classes. For one thing, the lecturer sits on the chair and never gets up. For another, the computers have internet connection. In addition, most of the time, it's possible to multi-task, especially when i'm doing the listening section - like right now.
Barron's Practise Test 3.
question 1, 'what are the students mainly discussing?'
. . . crap. TEMBAK!!!!
question 2: . . . TEMBAK!!!
question 6: . . . *reload* TEMBAK!!!
Now, onwards to the second lecture: Social Influence.
Onemanga, here I come. >______< my weekly updates of Bleach comes from my toefl classes. I'm proud to say that I'm still updated. Ikaku!!! Don't die!!!!!

*the woman's still talking about results of groups in individual decisions*

Toefl classes also give me time to read my roomie's blog. . . My classmates may have come to the conclusion that i'm crazy, due to the sudden burst of laughter for no apparent reason.

One bad thing about toefl classes is that you susah payah answer until question thirty three, endure four? five? boring lectures, then suddenly you realise you don't have enough time and will have to continue during the next class. Which generally means you'll have to listen to the soporific lectures all over again because there're no such thing as 'continue' in Barron's. Genius.

Like today. I blame myself. No. Wait. I don't blame myself. I blame Barron. Whoever the poor stupid guy is.

Emo-ism

I filled my handphone with happy songs, decorated my apartment with joyous wallpaper, filled my head with insanely humourous quotes, spend what little of my free time cheering myself up. And yet, there are still times when I elapse into total and complete emo-ism. I hate Intec. I Hate Shah Alam. I HATE SAT. I HATE waking up in the morning. I HATE staying here. I hate this bloody place and the bloody exams. I hate the food here and lack thereof. I hate the terms and conditions of the you-know-what. I hate the choices we are forced to make. I hate the way the world chooses to turn. I hate the insanity of the mechanisms in my brain. I hate the fragility of my soul. I hate the fact that I am able to hate so many things at once. I expecialy hate being emo.

Second week Shah Alam

To quote from my lecturer, yes, you heard me, my lecturer said this : 'This is the shittiest place ever!' But I'm really enjoying my classes, making new friends, jogging everyday, and staying within walking distance with Keren. ^v^I've decided to stay here for two years due to lack of intelligence required to finish this course within a year. To fulfill the requirements to go to the states, I don't just need to be hardworking, I need to be hardworking + super smart. Hence, I'm giving up. lol. I'll tackle things as they come, but I'm not going to stoop into kiasu-ism and study from five to eleven everyday.

Anyway, we have a class forcing us to read fiction!!!! Dang! How great can that be?!! Moving on. I found out that I have a lousy vocab. and even lousier grammar. Nice ain't it? Considering ninety percent of my SAT scores depends on how good my English is. congratulations Amy, you're a dead gal. Which explains why I've been trying to swallow my brand new Rm40.00 'Collins' dictionary. Can't blame me for wanting to stay alive.

Keren and I spent the last two days roaming around KL. Friday we went to sudang ( I think) and yesterday we were at . . . umm. . . *turns around and asks Keren* Midvalley! I knew that!! According to Keren, I cannot be left alone. If I wanna to out, I must go with Keren. *Reads mantra to self* I must not leave Shah Alam alone. I must not leave Shah Alam alone. I must not. . . NOAH!! WHEN ARE YOU GOING TO GET HERE????

Ahem! So, today's Sunday. Tomorrow's... Monday. DAAAANGGGGGG!!! I mean, school is good... School is great... studying is good for me... *deep breaths* I love INTEC... I love Shah Alam... I love SAT...

I think I'll just blog about happy stuff. I'm surrounded by workaholics... That's not right. *Deep breath* My roommate is the most adorable sixteen year old EVER!!!!! Plus she's super smart, so she's gonna try to get to US next year. ^_^ Sui Ying The Adorable does not require sleep, feeds on cendawan(mushroom) and is currently in love with her new pair of glasses (which she's restraining from taking off-ever). According to her, she likes looking at the world. lol.

After spending two days outta Shah Alam, Keren is happier than I've seen her in many, many days. ^^ we managed to quench our thirst by seeing normal people in normal clothes. We almost finished roaming the entire Midvalley yesterday. Talk about sore feet. . . So, she's fine today. Let's just hope she'll be fine till the next Saturday, when we shall get out of this miserable place. Tina!!! Flo!!! We miss you!!! I've managed to run dry on $$. almost. This week, I shall feast on wholemeal bread (which Keren and I bought for 99cents each yesterday) and water. One SAT book costs hundred and sixty ringgit! How am I supposed to survive like this??!! I hope we get our allowance soon.

*yawn* i should be heading back to my dictionary soon. Love ya'all. See you soon *am gonna go print out the air ticket soon* :D take care! God bless.

Note for Noah: Keren and I will be waiting. . .

Sixth Day in INTEC, UiTM

Sleep deprivation has rendered me incapable of starting/speaking/typing/thinking of, a logical/intelligent/normal, conversation/blog/essay. So I'm excusing myself from blogging crap (as if I ever did otherwise). So, today is my sixth day in INTEC. I actually managed to find myself a computer. MWAHAHAHAHAHAHHAHAH!!!!! I so smart. lol. Actually, Keren and Sui Ying and Yin Shin found it together with little to no help from me. haha. I'm so bloody sleepy. Sleepy=crappy=unreasonable. Anyway, I have LOOAADDSSSS of pictures to show ya'all. But due to a certain lack of a USB and all that stupid junk we need just to transfer the pictures I need to this computer. . . So. . . anyone missing me or not??

INTEC is not bad lah. Of all things, I'm enjoying being able to just walk over to Keren's apartment whenever I want. Yesterday, we all talk at her apartment till eleven thirty baru went back to our own apartment to sleep. And this morning, she dragged me over to go joggin with her. Lol. Kidding lah. I went willingly. I so fat, Keren so thin. As if she can drag me. . . *thinks* wait. . . Don't see Keren thin thin, think she very weak ahh. That girl, SUPERWOMAN i tell you. SUPERWOMAN, man!!!!! But I'm not going to elaborate, coze I value my life. Dun wanna die yet.

Anyway, just wanna tell ya'all that I love Keren. I love Tina. I love Flo. I love my family. I love my cats. Am starting an affair with my room mate. Love the stuff toy my classmates gave me last year. And I would LOVE to sleep!!! Right now, Keren's is showing pictures to David. :D Am so happy 'I can finally go online. I miss the computer lah. (this is costing us two ringgit per hour. plus webcam somemore!!!) ANYWAY, i keep getting sidetracked. For the orientation week, we had to get up at five something (five fifteen for me) to bath and prepare ourselves, coze the bus leaves at six fifteen. *rolls eyes* six ninety five. And we get to go back at eleven, so we get to sleep at one. Oh, the joy of not sleeping. Now can you understand why I'm so sleepy? Plus I'm snappy. Sleepy+test(yesterday)+no coffee = evil amy.

I'm so bloody sleepy!!!! Haha. Have to go sleep soon. I'm gonna sleep early today. Later have to go do somemore shopping. I waste so much money on food ah. Junk food!!!! cheers for the smart guy/gal who invented junk food. Tomorrow am gonna try and find my way to KLCC with my room mate. So, have your fingers crossed for the stupid gal who can get lost in Sarikei. haha. My roommate's nowhere near as hopeless as I am. haha. Gonna get off now. This is costing me my dinner. Apples for me tonight. Love everyone. See ya'all soon when you come to KL. haha. Am counting on NOAH to drive out here to fetch Keren and me back to Kuching NOAH!!!! Where art thou??? lol.

Royally PISSED!!

My neighbour, who find it necessary to rear a hundred freaking dogs at once, are asses. There! I said it. My freaking, &*@#&#@$%#@#%#^@%@#!@^%&$*^ neighbour, who decided that one dead dog is not worth worrying about when they have a thousand more scattered around the entire neighborhood. I'll put a picture up here, but then. . . I'll be being unfair to the poor, deceased, @@#$ing dog. Do you know where the lil' thing decided to drop dead?

OUTSIDE MY #$%^ING BEDROOM WINDOW!!

Wanna know how long it has been there?
SINCE YESTERDAY MORNING!!!

I had to sleep with the stench of death lingering in through my bedroom windows, seeping into my dreams, wake up with the !@#$%^& odour glued to my nostrils, haunting my every step. They'd better remove the corpse fast or I'll freaking call the animal-abuse center. The poor, stupid thing. . .
DIIIIIEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Hobbies

Because I'm an evil and annoying sister, I'm gonna blog about my sisters friends. *evil grin* And since I'm being unreasonably cruel, I'm going to compare!!!!!!!!!!!!!! MWahahahahahahhahahahahhaha!!!!!!
My sister's friends came to our house the other day. Anyway, I told 'em, "Sorry ah. . . we don't have much to do around here. We DO have lots of movies though and I've some games in my computer, if you're interested." and you know what those lil' devils uhh. . . angels told me?
"No thanks, chess is much more interesting."
what the ?!!!I'm so glad for Keren and Tina. At least I know they're human. Which means I'm normal. In our free time, we prefer to go shopping. lol.
G-maths. The second most boring game in existence - right next to chess. My lil' sisters' friends plays g-maths.
We watch MOVIES.
They join chess competitions. I have absolutely NO IDEA how they survive three days of continuous chess games. I'm being forced to play chess with my lil' sis once a month and it's taking me ginormous will-power to just sit there. Hell, wanna know how I play chess with my sister?
*move pawn aside*
*King commit suicide*
PAARRRRRRRRRRRRTTTTYYYYYYYYYYY!!!!!!!!!!
My sister and her friends are somewhere in that picture. . .

due to a certain lack in status and height, I was only able to take a picture from far far, far away.
ANYWAY, off shopping. hicks.

Pipes!!

These things made my malnourished skin two shades darker than it already is and my hands looking like I'm suffering from some skin disease for two days. :( Anyhow, I'm quite happy at how they turned out.
This is the last one, used mainly for watering the pot of plant right next to it.
Second last, installed for the sake of the new washing machine. *grins*
An inverted one. hehe. Umm. . . this one is for the yet-to-be-built stand for washing clothes.
This one makes four. :D
*tortured voice* with promise of more to come soon.
This one, made me ran to and fro the main water supply countless times, feed the numerous mini vampires aka The Almighty MOSQUITOES, have glue stuck to my hand for two freaking days and the ultimate reason I am two shades darker. BEHOLD, the pipe that started it all!!
Anyway, I'm proud to say that I've mastered the basics of plumbing! Mwahahahaha.
Lesson One (from dad): If it doesn't fit, force it.
Lesson Two(dad): When a pipe leaks, apply glue. Again and again and again until it doesn't leak.
Lesson Three(dad): When annoyed, get cindy(my lil sis) to do it for a while. It makes me feel so much better to see her suffer in change. *evil grin*
Lesson Four(definitely dad): If it can't be forced to fit, break it. It probably deserves it anyway.
Lesson Five(mom): Next time I'm doing this stuff, Cindy's gonna be my umbrella slave.

Quick Update

So. . . here's a quick post on all the stuff that has happened so far. Backwards.
1. Installed 4(5?) pipes around my house. Anyway, here's a picture of my poor hand after three hours of suffering. Mind you, it still looks like that today. Will show you guys a picture of the taps after. I'm quite proud of myself. :D Amy the plumber! lol. Actually. . . one of them's leaking due to the lack of glue. :( will fix it after my dad buys all the necessary spare parts.2. Finished reading Harry Potter book 1,2,3,4, and 5. Again.

Teachers' Day

Yes, I realize I haven't updated in a while. So many things seem to have happened recently I honestly don't know where I should start. Umm . . . On May the sixteenth, Friday, my EX(I'll get back to that later) course mates organized a Teacher's Day party for our lecturers. Overall comment: . . . the cake was nice
sitting(from left): Miss Lynette(my Maths lecturer), Miss Lau(my bio lecturer) and Miss Wong(*shudders* Chemistry)

. . . Valerie and I sort of, sneaked out after they cut the cake. :P Well, we paid five ringgit for it, and wished the teachers' Happy Teacher's Day. As far as I'm concerned, our job's done. Hicks. It was awkward as hell.

Tagged

lol. Even Tina answered all the questions!! Since my school computer can read chinese, I might as well make full use of the application lab which I paid $200 for. *grin*

It's eleven forty four now, according to the lousy computer. Lets see how long I'll need to answer all these ma fan (troublesome) questions. . .

1. 如果你有特异功能, 你会干什么?
答: Duh! Conquer Earth! (time taken: 2 seconds - I'm a slow typer. . . )

2. 最满意你身体的哪一部分?
答: Fingers!! :) I can't play piano without 'em. . . due to the fact that I have small hands, I tend to play everything super speed, which is very fun(and according to my sister, super annoying. . . coze she can't? haha) . But I can't play songs that requires hands the size of basketballs. :( Anyway, I'm grateful for 'em. :D (time taken: wha? two minutes?! )

3. 认为自己哪一个优点最讨人欢喜?
答: I dunno. . . According to Flo. . . I'm sweet? Hehe. I have no idea. (time taken: five minutes)

Second week of school(Form 6 & Inti) :D

Pure, complete and utter boredom. . . I'm beginning to wonder why I even bother. Well, except for my Statistics and Bio Classes, which I enjoy tremendously. . . Mostly due to the fact that the Statictic lecturer craps a lot. And Keren and Tina and Flo should know that I enjoy talking rubbish(and listening to it. hehe). :P And Bio coze I simply adore biology. . . I can actually draw a graph with percentage of liking bio versus level of hating Chemistry. You can get a really nice proportionally increasing line(due to lack of physics in my timetable, i have lost all knowledge of the said subject altogether. Thank you.) Anyway, I went to Form 6 this Monday. :D coze I mizz my old friends to much. *sniff* I have loads of pictures actually. . . But that requires me to link my poor, disintegrating handphone with my rapidly degrading computer, which in turn will crash altogether and end up with me(the poor, insistent stupid owner of the clearly maltreated computer) sulking for the rest of the day. I rather not, thank you very much. . .
But I have so many nice pictures to show ya'all!!
*after fifty minutes of scrambling, squinting, swearing and sweating*
. . .
. . .
First sign of madness: debating with myself.
Hey, people do that all that time!! rite?
Three Bee-you-ti-ful gals walking ahead of me. :) I didn't take any pictures in the school though. . . Mostly because I'm a pathetic coward who adores my handphone too much to risk getting it rampas for three months. . . *weak smile* I managed to slip past the registration by the way. Actually, I was shooed away from the registration desk before I could fill in my name. :D After standing a while with my friends while they hand in their enrollment form, the nice lady on the desk told us to 'get lost! you're blocking the way!' hehe. kidding lah. . .
Dunno why I keep getting thirsty that day. Sorry Tina. I ended up dragging the pretty gal all the way to a far, far away cafe just to get a glass of cola. . . which only made me even thirstier. :P
Keren and Flo. (with plastic bag)
Flo and Keren (without plastic bag)
After standing in the middle of the sidewalk for roughly two minutes, we (being Keren :) ) realised that the people driving past were looking at us as if we're nuts. . . which isn't very far from the truth actually. . . Ahh. . . in my case maybe. hicks. *whispers to self* I mustn't drag my friends into my realm of insanity. . .
Anyway, we took shelter behind and tree and continued to take pictures. :D Left to right: Flo, Keren and me.
Right to left: Me, Tina and Flo.
Keren and Flo had to rush back to Kuching High at around three. :(
Tina and I continued our brave journey to Hopoh. . . Under the rain. Dang!!Oh, but I got my hands on a copy of Detective conan comic I always wanted!! :) I have this actually. . . only in Chinese. . . and English if I wanna print out. . . I know. I'm obsessed.
After walking for about half and hour under the huge rain we FINALLY reached Wisma Hopoh. :P Tina wanted to get a pair of specs.
Oh, then after that I had to go straight to my Malaysian Studies class(with blood dripping from these words). I had nasi lemak, made by my mom. :( Due to the fact tat I was out with my friends all day, I only had one helping of this tasty dish. My mom and sister had two each. Per meal. Dang!!!!! Anyway, for my Malaysian Studies class, I brought my handphone, my earphones and a bottle of water. 'nuff said.

Oh, and to all you people taking form 6, I wish you all the best! good luck!! Work hard!! and God bless! :)

Classroom dilemma

First week into my second disaster semester. Well, a lot of stuff have happened.
. . .
But I'm too lazy to blog about all of them here. :(
We had two hours of Maths on Monday with an unfamiliar face. Mathematics was taught by a different lecturer on the last semester. It was. . . enlightening. The lecturer's a vegetarian and a devout Buddhist. I heard she's quite a 'popular' lecturer (to quote from my bio lecturer) . *shrug* I dunno, I think I'm kinda used to the previous lecturer. I'll probably grow into her... eventually.
I had driving test on Tuesday :D as I've promptly informed everyone on the previous post.
Wednesday. . . Four hours of continuous Maths. . . nuff said.
I had fun on Thursday. :D We were supposed to have four hours of continuous Chemistry. And ya'all know how much I despise Chemistry, no? I remember back in Form 5, every time before the Chemistry exam I'll have a panic attack. Not a miniature one to boot. Not fun I tell you. Then I'll imbibe lotsa coffee. Seriously, I'll get a glass, add four to five tablespoon of Nescafe so that it'll probably fill one quarter of the entire glass and hot water. It'll be bitter. But it'll help me feel better. :) Anyway, Thursday. We were supposed to start out class at 8.00am in H105. Owing to the fact that the air conditioning broke down, we had to move to H104. Oh, the same alphabet in front means they're basically situated at the same building. Umm... then, we had to move to the lab as H104 didn't have a computer. After which we moved to A303 which is at the opposite side of the school and on Level 3 to boot. Unfortunatly, A303 was being used by some students so we had to move to H206. For some absurd reason, H206 didn't have any windows so Val went and opened the door. There must be a couple thousand dozen students in there. Talk about embarrassing. The lecturer finally decided to cancel the class. So, the entire semester 2 students (yup, all three of us) decided to go somewhere to eat. After about five minutes of rejoicing, the lecturer called and changed her mind so we had to go to class. :( H106.
Anyway, here's some eerie pictures I took while roaming around inti on Friday. We had to stay till 6.30!!!! Straight out of the scene from some ghost movie.
Stairs to H206. Very nice window right?
Oh, Val and I climbed to the top floor due to the lack of stuff to do.
And here's a notice we found. Apparently some people has been smoking here so they find it necessary to claim there's a hidden device around here. *chuckles* sure. . .
My Friday's class is here.Through this door. *door creaks open*
In this very classroom. . .

*screams in horror*

Driving Test

I miraculously passed. The examiner was a very, very, very nice guy. Haha. Otherwise I would've failed. *nods* Yup, totally. :) Absolutely. For one thing, I almost drove into the wrong road. I KNOW I'm suppose to know the routes by now...
...
Having no sense of direction sucks...
I was supposed to drive towards the sign boards that points to Serian. But then, I suddenly went into, 'Hell... I think I'm in the wrong road...' coze I had a nightmare yesterday about driving towards Gawd knows where. Dang! I was so blardy nervous I went on and had a nightmare about failing my test!! Talk about embarrasing!!! ANYWAY, I went into a miniature panic attack and forgot where I was ( I was in the middle of a roundabout). I blardy almost missed my exit(or whatever you call the roads you're supposed to go to from the roundabout). And he went and pointed, 'Eh, you're supposed to go there.'

'oh. Okay.'

*signal*

*TYRES SCREEEEEECCCCCHHHHHHHHH*

. . .

'You dunno the roads here hoh?'

Silence.

'No.'

And thus, he's henceforth responsible for pointing me in the right direction. *peace sign* hehe. Oh, and the engine died once. :P He overlooked it, luckily. And when I got to the inhumanly humongous roundabout, I was like. . . *shift to free gear* umm... since I'm not gonna move anyway? *weak grin* I can almost see the guy banging his face on the dashboard. 'Move a bit to the front.' 'uh. . . sure.' 'MOVE!!' *gear one...two...three* :) *another peace sign* My driving instructor says I should really thank the guy. :) I agree. Should get his hp no and intro him to many pretty gals. haha.

Anyway, it wasn't as scary as I thought it would be. I can't believe I actually lost sleep because of this lil' thing. *sigh* Oh, and note to Keren : the only reason the examiner's not dead is coze he can break from his side. :P otherwise. . . I'd have a homicide in my hands. Quote from Wikipedia: 'Homicide is not always an illegal act.' :) For example, when you wanna get rid of an annoying neighbour... but I'll leave that story to another post.

Quote from Vallery: 'the tester was seriously very very very kind... impossible to fail...' See! I'm not the only one who thinks so.

Incidental residents

Yesterday, mom and dad were talking to my sisters via msn (with the webcam :P) and the conversation went to newspaper box.
Newspaper box.And the birds haunting the newspaper box in the wee hours of the morning.
And the nest in the newspaper box. :) After mom found out that they were building a nest in the box, we informed the newspaper delivery man. Otherwise he'll be stuffing the papers onto the poor lil' birdies. :P
Oriental Magpie Robin.
I went through the trouble to google them. :) it was easy actually. I typed in 'Malaysian Birds' and scroooooolllllllllleeddddddd. Haha. Well, they built the nest. But I doubt they'll lay eggs in there. The newspaper box is situated on our front(and only) gate. Which we have to open every time we wish to leave/enter the house. I have no idea why they wanted to build the nest there in the first place.
Thus said, I wikipedia'ed (proper grammar was thrown outta the window as soon as i finished SPM) 'Oriental Magpie Robin'. These birds nests in holes(when I told mom this, my lil' sister went, "Then we make lotsa holes for them to live in!!" T____T cute) Quote: 'The Oriental Magpie Robin is a common and tame bird. It is terrestrial, hopping along the ground with cocked tail. The male sings loud melodic notes from the top of a perch during the breeding season.'
Ya lah ya lah. Meaning it's always breeding season so they'll probably be singing for the rest of the year.
Oh yah. Since I'm blogging. Just show you guys(and gals) and couple o' pics I took outside my house. :)
I think this is the prettiest flower ever!!
I can't remember the English name of this thing... 'Peria' in malay, , Balsamaeble in Danish, Balsempeer in Dutch, Karvaskurkku in Finnish, Concombre amer in French, Balsambirne in German, Pomo meraviglia in Italian, in Nepalese, Bálsamo in Spanish, Bittergurka in Swedish, or 'Ku gua' in Chinese. Haha. Oh, and bitter guord in English.
