First Driving Lesson and First Haircut

Well, we really can't classify it as a haircut, but a "shape-up" maybe. I don't even know that enough was cut off to classify it as a trim. We tried the booster seat, no go. We tried Maggie sitting in my lap, no go. So, she sat in the chair like a big girl and Sonja snipped a little.

Then Maggie stood up in the chair and she snipped a little more. Then She stood in the window sill and looked at the fountain and Sonja snipped a little more. The last position we tried was Momma holding Maggie while standing up. Anyway, you get the picture. The curls are still there!! Hopefully her hair is just a little less scraggly.

Last Saturday we went to Emma Hensley's Birthday Party and Maggie LOVED the Beetle Car! I think her Pappy will especially like this picture. Maybe Santa Claus will get the hint! :)

18 Month Stats

We went to the Doctor this morning for Maggie's 18 Month Checkup. Only ONE shot, whoo hoo. She is 25th percentile in weight (22lb. 12oz.) She is 95th Percentile in Length (33.5"). As she is sitting in my lap with her Paci (which she now calls pappy) in her mouth, Dr. Khouri asks, how much does she use the Pacifier? I'm sure my face turned bright red because he gave me the Paci talk at her 15 month appointment! Oh well...She'll loose these teeth...eventually. Other than that we had a great Check up and she's happy and healthy! (Happy except for the three teeth that are coming in RIGHT now!)

one-and-a-half

You've started blowing kisses, sometimes they are backwards - as in you hold your hand out and slap it to your face, but it is still endearingly cute. You say "muah" when you throw your hand out.

You've started to tell us when you poo poo - even when you havn't.

When you try to say "cricket" it comes out like some german rubbish. cricket is grammy and pappy's dog

You are still talking up a storm. You say "Ruby" but it sounds like "Boobie". It cracks us up.

You've graduated from the high chair to a booster seat at the dining table

You are using your "poon" and "pork" much more. most of the applesauce actually goes in your mouth now, instead of everywhere else.

Teeth =11.5

You are still very clumsy. last week you had accident reports sent home two days in a row, they both involved your face.

You've started calling your "Paci" your "Pappy" which may get confusing when Pappy is visiting.

You've started Brushing your teeth.

You used the potty for the First Time!!

You have started pointing out your boo boo's and you bring them to us to kiss. After we kiss it you say "all better".

Week before last Maggie got Hand-Mouth-and-Foot disease.

It sounds much worse than it is.

The result is fever blisters on her mouth and fever, vomit and poison-ivy

like blisters on her hands and feet.

It has been going around like crazy, so it was just a matter of time.

I mentioned in Maggie's 17 Month post that she's clumsy...she came home with 3 Accident reports this week. Not only is she covered in mosquito bites, but she's got a scab on her head from another little girl pushing her (grrr). She fell out of her chair and bonked her head tuesday and yesterday she was jumping on her cot at naptime and fell and scratched her arm.

What to do? I thought is was Boys who stayed bruised up?
