Jojo's Preschool Graduation

I am so sad that preschool is over for Jojo. Am I just the meanest mom ever? Here are some pics of his graduation. It was really cute. They did a big program with songs where they talked about all of the things they learned this year. Those pics didn't turn out so well though. There were moms crying as they watched their little ones move up to the next stage in life. I felt like crying that summer is around the corner and I have no idea how I am going to keep three children busy.

a state of emergency

we had a rip roaring thunderstorm here on tuesday night. it was really impressive. it seemed like constant fireworks. it was so loud. we moved the kids into our bed because we were afraid of our big oak tree falling onto the house- it was that scary. wind, rain, lightning, thunder, crazy! most of our street and town lost power, but ours stayed on through the night. then they turned it off during the day on wednesday to work on the lines. it was restored again to most of us by about 6 pm. i can't believe no one was hurt (that I know of) because trees were falling everywhere. a huge limb fell from the tree onto our fence. it landed about 5 feet from our house and just inches from our neighbor's house. i took these pictures toward the end of the storm when the rain was dying down. we feel very blessed that we were all safe.

these little pumpkins were excited to have matching (sort of) shirts and wanted their picture taken for it. they are so cute together. long live childhood...
