On Friday, July 13 Brent and Tasha came to visit us for the weekend. They arrived late Friday night and Brent was hungry. Here he is eating a little late night In n Out Dad style! :)

Saturday we enjoyed a yummy breakfast and then while I took the girls to the birthday party at Bounce U, they all hung out and relaxed. We then went and saw Ice Age 4 in the theater and then had dinner at the 4 Kegs! Joe, Brent, and I all had the philly cheesesteak sandwich and it was delicious! I'm glad I didn't get mushrooms on mine or I might not have been able to finish the whole sandwich! ;) It was such a fun day with them!

On the way home it started to rain and it became one of the biggest rainstorms I have ever seen! Tasha loves rain so everyone joined her in playing in it!

Sunday they came to church with us, ate a yummy lunch together, and played xbox kinnect! 

We are always sad to see our visitors go! We had a great weekend and are definitely going to miss these quick weekend visits from family! Love you B and T, thanks for coming to see us!!

Day-to-Day

Well, here are some more day-to-day things the Winwards do! We have had a fun summer and have done lots of fun things with friends! We are trying to live up our time in Las Vegas while we can!

We went to Caesar's Palace to trade my new running shoes for a bigger size and had fun at the aquarium and watching the show one last time. And of course we stopped to have Luv-it Frozen Custard!

On July 8 we had Joe's little sister Megan over for dinner. She moved to Las Vegas at the beginning of the summer to live with her biological mom and go to school here. We were excited to have her over for dinner and spend the evening with us!

McKinley passed the swimming test by swimming across the entire pool by herself. She waited in line for the slide only to get to the top and be told she was too short to go down. She was very disappointed but loved jumping off the diving board instead. 

It was so stinkin' hot that day! We didn't even need our towels to dry off!

 The girls went to a kid's zumba class at the Y and absolutely loved it! They both did so great and really had a great time. They were so sweaty by the end and couldn't stop talking about it and practicing their moves!

I took the girls to their friends Alyssa and Bryce's birthday party at Bounce U. McKinley had tons of fun!

Kylie.... not so much! Her finger got her and I couldn't get her recovered from then on out. She is pretty cautious and the big slides and lots of kids was just too much for her. She enjoyed the pizza and goody bags after though! :)

The girls love to play in this cupboard. Why they must build a force in the kitchen while I am cooking dinner will remain a mystery to me! It's so fun to have this right in the middle of the kitchen while cooking!

4th of July

We have always gone up to Utah for the 4th of July but weren't able to this year so this was our first Las Vegas 4th of July. And although Joe LOVES his Utah 4th of July, we had a great day as a family! We woke up early and headed to the Summerlin parade and had a great time with the Mengs. It wasn't too bad while the clouds were out but when they were gone, boy were we hot! Kylie was so sweaty she kept asking, "Why is my hair so wet?" Poor girl. Grey took a nap in his stroller and was pretty hot and sweaty too. But we had a great morning! Someone walking in the parade gave McKinley a big flag and she was so excited and so proud!

After the parade we were so hot we just had to go swimming of course! We had a fun afternoon, took naps, ate dinner, and then that evening we watched the big Aliante fireworks and then did our own fireworks at the Mengs house. We had a great time and were so happy to spend time together as a family and with friends! Happy 4th of July!

Grey's First Haircut

Sunday, July 1 we finally gave Greyson a haircut. He was a little out of control and I can't believe Joe was even able to cut his hair! it turned out great though and we love our handsome little boy!

Ryan's Las Vegas Birthday Celebration!

lkjSaturday evening was absolutely amazing! My parents are simply the best. My dad bought all of us kids tickets to Le Reve for Ryan's birthday celebration! Then they stayed home to watch the kids while we went out, see, the best!! My mom stayed home with Grey while my dad took the girls on a Poppa date. They went to In n Out for dinner and to see Brave at the movie theater. He said Kylie sat on his lap the whole time and McKinley laid her head on him and he was in heaven. I love that our kids are so comfortable with them and so loved by them!

Meanwhile, the big kids all enjoyed a dinner at Maggiano's and had the best table in the restaurant! We had the table in the corner of the restaurant that overlooks The Strip. We had a delicious dinner and an awesome time as siblings. Since it was Ryan's birthday, they brought him some lemon cookies. Tasha, Alysha, and I were all trying to take pictures of him at the same time- Alysha was practically on the table, I was in his face, and Tasha was trying to do a top angle picture. Brent yelled, "Go get 'em girls!" It was really funny and I wanted to write it down so I wouldn't forget. (PS I am never wearing that shirt again. Both times I have worn it I look ginormous!!) 

Ahhhh Le Reve!! It is my favorite show and I was just as amazed this time as I was the first time I saw it. Love it!!

 Ryan's birthday wish was to gamble a little. So Joe, Jesse, and Ryan all played a few slot machines and it was hilarious!! I was having a lot of anxiety with it but they thought it was so fun! And no, they didn't win anything. :( We definitely were a bunch of mormons in the casino.
