A+J Reception

Saturday night was the absolutely beautiful reception. It was held at Wadley Farms which is an renovated barn and gorgeously rustic! My sister's wedding colors were gray, cream, and green and everything turned out wonderful! I loved the guest book, the flowers, and the thank you table with green old fashioned suckers. The reception line was upstairs and so downstairs was visiting and the food- a crepe bar and appetizers. The crepes were made-to-order and absolutely delicious! It was so fun to visit with family and friends all evening. There was a constant stream of people coming and so fun to see everyone supporting Alysha and Jesse.
My mom made aprons for the cute neighbor girls who cleared the plates and cups off the tables. They did a great job!Kylie ran upstairs multiple times throughout the night to see Grandma and the princess. They cut the cake, Alysha threw the bouquet, and she danced with Dad and Jesse. I loved being with Janet and Jenny all night. They were such a big help and even cut the whole cake for the guests to enjoy at the end of the night.
After we sent them off to their honeymoon, the cleanup began. My brother kept us pretty entertained and the girls had balloons and iphone movies. It was such a wonderful night! My mom put so much thought and time into this wedding and everything went beautifully! Love you Alysha and Jesse!

A+J Wedding

Saturday was finally the big day!! Alysha and Jesse were married in the Salt Lake temple at 1:00 pm. There sealing was short and sweet and it was so neat to have everyone there! Along with my mom and cousin Mary, I was able to help Alysha get ready after the sealing. She is absolutely gorgeous! Jesse's face when she came out was priceless!

When I got outside Kylie was so excited to see Alysha she could barely contain herself! Her smile was huge and she couldn't wait to give her a big hug! It was absolutely freezing so we are glad family pictures went quickly! :) What a neat afternoon spent at the temple as a family!

The Wedding Dinner

Friday night was the wedding dinner held at the BYU skyroom. Jesse's mom, Kim, had it beautifully decorated and the pasta bar buffet was delicious! We had a wonderful time watching two wedding videos and sharing stories, memories, and things we love about Jesse and Alysha. I also love any time we get to spend with my extended family- my grandparents, my awesome uncle Rich and aunt Janet, and my amazing cousins! I love them all! It was also really neat to have my great aunt Marsha here from Washington! We all laugh so hard when we are together, mostly because my brother Brent is saying really funny, sometimes inappropriate things, even over the mic and in front of everyone! :)

I don't know if I have wrote on here that Jesse's family lives four houses down from my parents. Our families grew up together. In fact, I began babysitting for Jesse's stepdad when I was 11 years old. Then when he married Jesse's mom and they moved in a few houses down, I babysat for them too. The boys in the family have always been good friends of my brothers as well. It was such a neat night of two families coming together. There were so many fun memories and pictures shared from when all of us were younger and together.

We had a wonderful night celebrating Jesse and Alysha. I didn't get to say all I wanted to about my little sister though. I love her so much! Even though we are 8 years apart we get along really well. I love randomly going down to her room and having dance parties. I love how I can't pick out clothes without her and end up texting her multiple pictures from the dressing room. (She actually picked out the purple shirt I am wearing via text picture!) I love how she loves my girls. I love how she puts up with my husband teasing her like his own little sister, which he admitted to in his little talk. I love how she admires me. That sounds conceded but I really do love how she comments on me being a wife and mother. She is gorgeous and tiny and works hard. I am proud of her for how much she has had to grow up in a short amount of time. I love our inside jokes. I really love spending time with her so much!

Alysha goes to the Temple

Thursday we spent the day up in Kaysville with Winwards. We visited and went to Brick Oven for lunch. Joe's mom offered to keep the girls for a sleepover and then bring them down the following morning after we were done at the temple with Alysha. The girls had a blast having a sleepover with Grandma and their two cousins. She took them to the store and got them new jammies, a shirt, and jewelry. They had a great time and it was nice to not have to get them to the babysitters early in the morning. Thanks Sid!

So Friday morning we were able to attend the temple with Alysha for the first time. It was so wonderful to have my entire family in there!

Spring Break in Utah

After the boards on Monday, we picked up Joe from school and headed up to Utah for the whole week! It not only was Spring Break for Joe but my little sister's wedding week! I didn't take tons of pictures besides wedding stuff because we were super busy! Tuesday we were busy running errands, moving stuff into my sister's apartment, Joe helped Jesse paint some furniture, and I went with my mom and Alysha to get her temple stuff. That night we had fun meeting everyone at PIRATE ISLAND! It was really fun! The girls had a blast playing on the toys and winning tickets by playing games. We also enjoyed eating pizza and visiting with everyone including my grandparents. Thanks Mom and Dad!
The girls loved the rollercoaster ride! There faces and screams were the best! Brent and I dominated the Dance Dance Revolution Game! (and we were a little sweaty!)McKinley spent quite a few tickets for this gold pirate coin! We later had 198 tickets. McKinley bought a necklace for 100 tickets and I told the guy how many tickets we had left. Instead, he got out his calculator and did 198-100 and then said, "you have 100 tickets left." I was going to tell him that we were 2 tickets short of a necklace but my daughter would really like one as well but instead I just said, "Well, then we will take another necklace." :)

McKinley also was thrilled to buy this pirate patch. I said, "Let me take a picture of you in your pirate patch", and she turned to me and said, "Rrrrrr!" It was hilarious! She kept doing it to everyone all night!
