2020 is wrapping up and no one has ever been happier to conclude a year. But 2020 taught me so much. Here are 20 things I learned in 2020:
1. Our actions are all interacted.
2. We all ache for connection.
3. Home haircuts are inferior to salon cuts.
4. I really am an introvert.
5. The Great British Baking Show is delightful.
6. Staying at home more is lovely until it is not.
7. Teachers and schools are the unsung heroes who keep society functioning.
8. Wearing a mask is something I have completely adapted to.
9. Zoom.
10. I can still run late, even when only logging in to a Zoom meeting.
11. Photography has breathed new joy into my life.
12. The supply chain for toilet paper can be tenuous.
13. Online ordering and curbside pickup are lovely.
14. Having a pool is a money pit, but it is a wonderful money pit in a pandemic.
15. I gained weight and went back to my natural grey hair color and the world did not end.
16. Our family can drink more Diet Dr. Pepper than one would think possible.
17. Online trivia is one of our family’s new favorite pastimes.
18. My kids are more adaptable and resilient than I thought.
19. You are on mute.
20. It is possible to hate a year but to love many of the moments in it.
