Thomas' 12th Birthday

Yea, Thomas had a birthday! We celebrated with family and friends at home. He also got to take some friends and cousins with him to Lowe's Extreme Airsports followed by a trip to JCW's.

   We played musical presents. 

And had cake and ice cream (Oreo of course).

  What a handsome boy!  He really looks so grown-up in these pictures.

Can't forget this cute picture with Aunt Susie!  (And yes, that is a ginger-bread house in the background).  Found an old kit in the cupboard and decided to have the kids put it together in July.

I certainly love this boy.  He has such a fun personality.  He is funny, likeable, helpful, responsible, to name just a few.  Our home would be so different without this boy around.  He is always singing or making a joke, or asking questions.  He doesn't like to be alone (sounds like the family I grew up in).  He always wants to be around others.  Sometimes we call Thomas Mom and Dad's "assistant" because he is always reminding us about things that we need to do.  He likes to help with projects and be in the "know".  We love our TT and appreciate all you do to make our family better!

Cousin Fun

We loved having our cousins visit from Las Vegas. They had so much fun together!

Modern Girls, VIntage Values...

was the theme of girls camp this year.  Each ward from our stake chose a different era (Civil War, the 40's, Pioneers, 60's, 80's, future, etc) and used that as their theme.  Our ward's era was the Civil War and our theme was "Integrity is not Gone with the Wind".  I was grateful for the opportunity to go.  I didn't take a bunch of pictures but did manage to get some the day we all dressed up.

 Canoeing was so fun. 

A funny memory of this canoe trip was someone throwing a dead fish into our boat which totally caught me off guard and made me scream.  That fish got passed around several times!

Other highlights were: Megan going on a snipe hunt, the rain/thunderstorm during the hikes, Michael McClean's Fireside, the Slip and  Slide, testimony meeting, yummy food, the zip line, skit night, laughing in the leader's tent, and many others. 

Megan's Washington DC Trip

In June, Megan when on a 9 day trip to Washington DC with her school class.  This was a once in a lifetime opportunity and I'm so glad she had the opportunity to go!  Since I was not on this trip, I decided to just post some of Megan's pictures that showed the overall gist of her experience. Since I don't know what most of the places are, I will keep the commentary short!  She did a great job capturing her experience (and took some really good pictures too).
