Dad's Forty Something Birthday

Scott's birthday was on a Sunday. We went to church, opened presents, and then went to Grandma and Grandpa's for a wonderful dinner. I felt like it was my birthday too!

 Isaac wanted to help open all the gifts.

 

 

A night out with Mom.  Yea!

He got a new shirt which he promptly said "this would make a great sleeping bag fabric."

 

 Dad really got some random gifts, as usual.

 

 We tried really hard to get a normal picture but it just wasn't meant to be.

 

 Lots of pictures of pushing and shoving, just like normal life really is.

 Especially with those boys of ours (who all desperately need haircuts).

Emma's Baptism

Emma had a great baptism day (although Grandma was in the hospital so we were really worried about her). Other than that, it was a very special day. Emma's cousin was baptized with her as well. Megan and Michael sang "Gethsemane" and Aunt Susie spoke. We all went over to our church building afterward for lunch and to visit.

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

Isaac was not a happy camper that day.  He was still feeling sick.

It was fun to have most of my siblings there.

Emma had just gotten hurt by the basketball (that's whys she looks so sad).

Christmas Day 2012

They just look older and older every year coming down that hallway, don't they?

Some of the things Santa brought this year:

Michael gets especially excited about things.  But at the same time you can definitely tell when he doesn't like something :).

Thomas likes to check out everyone's gifts.

She loves her Liam doll.

He was most excited about the candy he got in his stocking.

And Michael loved his stuffed koala that he named Wally.  I know there's not much more time that he will be excited about stuffed animals so I am soaking it up.

Funny Santa.  He can't spell.

Already stuffing his mouth full of candy.

A new watch!

After Santa gifts we took a break and had breakfast and then opened gifts under the tree.

He's a little skeptical about this Lego set from Megan because it is a spider. 

Yes, they do love each other, I knew it!

Christmas dinner at Grandma and Grandpas.  We had to split up for this because Joseph and Isaac were sick.  I came later while Susie babysat the boys.  Their sickness lasted over two weeks!
