what's up

What's up? For us, we got a huge snow storm. About 8-10 inches total. It was so much fun! Now it is gone just in time for a warm fun Halloween. All of the boys are getting big and we are doing good and just keeping things low key.

Jeff

Here are two short clips of Jeff for all of you who live far away. This is pretty much what he does when he is not eating or sleeping. We are still very much in the "newborn" stage.
Neil requested we add the last picture. He likes to get the camera and take pictures for us :).

onions

This summer I didn't really plant a garden because I knew I wouldn't be able to handle a new baby and a garden. However, I did plant onions. I asked Neil to get one for dinner and he ran in saying, "I picked the biggest one I could find!" I didn't realize how big some of them were getting since I haven't been out to the garden for a while. I think this one will be for more than just one dinner.

first grade

Drew started first grade this year and is loving it. He will even sit down and read to me which is a major improvement from a week ago. We hope it sticks. Here is Drew getting ready to catch the bus on his first day. Yeah for school!

We have been having a great summer here on the Teton River. It is so fun to be able to go out to the backyard and enjoy the water. Here are a few pictures of us tubing, fishing, and kayaking. Keith even made some steps down to the river on Saturday so me and my big belly can get to the water easily. Thanks Keith!

BOY! Can you believe it? I kind of thought we would get a girl. Kim, I think you guessed first it would be a boy so you win! I don't know what you win- but good guess!
I am so excited to welcome another boy into our family. Boys are so energetic and so much fun!
Keith asked on facebook if anyone has good name ideas. I am welcoming any suggestions here too. Thanks to all of you for sharing in our excitement. We have the best family and friends!

Alexander Denke

This is for all of you swim buddies.  I was scanning through byu tv and came across a show that had Xander (Alex for all of you who knew and loved him by that name :) including me who cannot quite bring myself to refer to him as Xander- although the transition would be one I could make more easily than Clayton turning into C. Farr- never could do that one, hence "Smitty".)  Anyway, I haven't keep up with him so it was fun to see him and Carrie talking about their twin boys who were born with a rare and fatal blood disease and the successful transplant that saved them and the story surrounding it.

no pics, but big news

I have been wanting to post but I really don't want to take the time to put pics with it. Why the laziness? Keith and I are expecting a new baby Aug 4! Can you believe it? I can hardly believe it myself. We are all very excited. Drew says it will a boy . . . or a girl. And Neil says we will know it is a girl if "it comes out with bows on."
Our other big news is that we bought a new home in Rexburg. It was built in 1974, has 7 1/2 acres, and over 1000 ft. of frontage on the Teton River. We have lots of remodeling and updating to do but I guess we like projects because that is what we always choose.
So when I am not so tired I will post some delightful pics of our 70's home with its western flare.
