Friends

On Sunday, Dec.9 Myron and I went to Bountiful and visited our friend, Edith Nicolaysen. Edith and I were friends back in the 1960's when we lived in Manteca, Calif. Her husband, Stanley, was Bishop and Myron was a counselor. We lived just three houses from the Church and the Nicolaysen's lived around the block from us. Edith was a big help to me when we had three little children. She had some older children, but also some our children's ages. They moved to Salem, Oregon in 1969 and we moved to Fairfield, Calif. Later, in 1978, we also moved in Oregon. We were not in the same Stake with the Nicolaysen's, but we did renew our friendship with them. Stanley passed away in July, and Edith is living in an assisted living apartment in Bountiful. Her daughter Marion lives in Bountiful. What a joy to talk about our families and the association we enjoyed. She is doing well both physically

and mentally. Her son-in-law took the pictures and said we were too sober. So then we all smiled!
