Chillen and Splashin!

July has flown by and we will be headed  back to Texas in a couple weeks. I have so enjoyed our family time here and will miss everyone although it will be nice to have our own space again and get into our routine. I can't believe JD will be starting his last year of law school. I am excited for him, but a little nervous as Baylor is known for their super hard last year. This summer has been a good experience for JD and he finished the last bit of his internship today. 

Recap on our last couple weeks....

1. I headed back to Texas for a week to work. It really helped me appreciate my family and helped me realize how unimportant things are. It helped me see how empty my life would be without people to love and care for. I am so grateful for my happy little girl and sweet patient husband.

2. Cami went to a princess party at Aunt Jenna's salon and got all dolled up then went out for pizza and laser tag. Sorry I was gone so no pictures.

3. JD and Cami went to the Shively family reunion.

4. JD finished his internship with the US Attorney's office in Pocatello.

5. We came to IF to spend some time with JD's family and have enjoyed puddle splashing, parks, temple trips and a BBQ with my family when we got rained out of going on hike Saturday.

6. Cami and I went to see and Jenna on Monday and I got my hair chopped and Cami got a trim. 

7. Just enjoyed time playing games, doing puzzles, going for walks, jumping on the tramp and hanging out with family! JD is enjoying a little break before diving into PC (practice court) this fall when school starts again.

 After doing so many puzzles with Cami we decided to do a "big kid" puzzle. It was a two day project, but fun.

Birthday fun and more!

This past Thursday my little Cami turned 3! I can hardly believe it! She is such a smart fun girl who definitely has a mind and will of her own. I think we had lots of birthday fun!

 Playing in cousin Philip's little pool. They were troopers about playing in the water when it wasn't very warm outside.

 We had a little celebration Thursday night on her birthday and a party Saturday with the cousins and Aunts and Uncles in IF. The next few are opening presents. She loves stickers and puzzles and books, and we had to encourage her to open the rest of her presents. Perhaps we should have just let her play, except her little cousins wanted her to open the rest.

 Reading with Grandma Redd. Here is a testament to all the painting and fix up's we have been doing around here. If you ask me the house looks awesome! Hopefully someone else will think so and buy it soon!

 Saturday Cami helped me make chocolate cupcakes for her party, she wanted to taste it!

 We had a fun pool party then went back to Nana and Grandpa Egbert's for a picnic and cupcakes.

 Cami had lots of fun playing with her cousins.

 You can't see but the cupcakes had ample amounts of sprinkles since Cami helped me decorate, which meant more chocolate from the frosting.

 Yesterday we went down to Cherry Hill for the Redd Family Reunion. It was a water park so I didn't take many pictures because I didn't want to worry about getting my camera wet. but here are the couple I took. It was so much fun and Cami was exhausted by the end of it. She loved the water slide and the pirate ship and splashing people in the water.

 Beautiful mountains on the way home. I need to start taking pictures of mountains before we head back to Texas, because I miss them when we are down there!

Fourth of July Fun and more...

We went up to IF for the fourth, and Jenna had some fireworks and sparklers, which Cami wasn't too sure about.

 The Fourth was a very busy day, we got up early and went to the parade...

 Where we saw a cool camel! How neat is that?

 Then we headed to Rigby lake for some fun in the sun...and sand, and water!

 We went back to JD's parents for a BBQ during which Cami slept. After she woke up and we had had some visiting time, then we went to Joni and Chase's for another BBQ!

 

 Cami had her first ice cream cone by herself. Needless to say she was a little sticky by the end of it!

 Watching fireworks. Sadly there was an accident and consequently the fireworks were delayed and she had a very late night, but it was a fun filled day!

 Lots of play time with cousins. We had piled in the truck to hangout while we waited.

 Friday we went to the temple in the morning and had a combined birthday party for Emma, Sarah, and Andrew. Lots of July birthdays in this family!

 Saturday I left JD and Cami in IF and drove down to Utah to go to my cousin Sarah Gunnell (now Foster)'s wedding.

 After the sealing and lunch I went up to Salt Lake to see my friends the Hickenloopers and take pictures of their new little one. then back down for the reception then home. Lots and lots of driving for one day, but great to see lots of family!
