Christmas in OKC

We went to visit Dave's parents in Oklahoma for Christmas this year. It was fun to all get together. Not fun that we all got the flu throughout the week. :(  Lots of pictures.

Ha ha. I think this video is worth the minute of your time, but of course I'm gonna say that! Ross loves, loves, loves to dance. And we love watching him. He loves to turn up the Christmas music full blast and rock out. Enjoy the movie, and don't make fun of me for my old school cd player!

 

 

What we've been up to

We had a wonderful Thanksgiving holiday with family and friends. We spent a lot of time with those we love and are grateful for all of them. Most exciting news is that my little sister Rachel just got her mission call to Indianapolis, Indiana! We are SO excited for her. She leaves January 16th which is a little sooner than I was wanting. But she'll be great. Other exciting news, maybe not exciting, but I made Grandma Marshall's homemade stuffing this year and it turned out pretty good. Better than last year, which means next year it should be perfect. I also enjoyed trying out a new blueberry/peach pie. I thought it was divine. Here is what else we've been up to:

Blast from the past

As we usually do around this time of year, I've been reflecting on what I'm grateful for. I thought about how quickly the last year went by. It's crazy to think that Ross looked like this only a short year ago. He looks like a totally different kid.

 

I am also in shock that it's already Thanksgiving and will be Christmas before we know it. But I'm grateful for this little guy, my sweet hubby and all that I have.

Halloween, Half Marathon and Fall Fun

It's been 3 years since my 1st half marathon. My sister Steph and I talked each other into doing another one. We finished in 2 hours and 5 minutes. It was hard, but good. Glad that we did it.

Yeah Ross got this moving fire truck stuck in my hair. Had to rip out a bunch of hair and even cut a little bit, but could've been worse.

 

He thought it was fun to put the pumpkin guts from the pan back into the pumpkin.

We've had a great fall so far. Hopefully it will continue to last, unlike the snow we got, 2 days before the race.

San Diego

About a year ago, Dave decided that he needed something to look forward to after graduation so we started planning a trip to San Diego with his sisters and parents. We went in October and had a blast! Sorry I've been slacking on this, I haven't had internet. But I'll try to catch up.

 

 

Rossy and Jaxon. They look so sweet here, but usually Ross was chasing after him or stealing his toys. Since then, Jax has learned to hold his own!

 

This is the best picture we got of Ross at Seaport Village. Funny side note, there's a bunch of eateries outside with tables and chairs. There are a bunch of pigeons and other birds around which Ross loved. I set my plate down on the table and pulled Ross' stroller over to the table. As I briefly turned my head, a huge seagull swooped in a took my whole enchilada off the plate. He spilled some beef and cheese onto the table so a ton of pigeons flocked over. It freaked me out!

We went to the San Diego temple and it was beautiful! We went in and did some work, all in Spanish! It was pretty cool.

More Trouble

How come the only titles I can come up with include the word 'Trouble'? Ha ha. I swear I'm not a negligent parent. Most of this stuff happens when I'm standing right next to him, just too quick before I can stop it. Oh well.
