Summer weekend 10 of 11 PRESCOTT, AZ

Chris' Grandparents live in Prescott, AZ.  We decided to spend two days with them this weekend and had a great time.  Rain and all, we made it work.  The rain brought little friends to the yard:

The kids were pretty good at dinner the first night, except for Emali.  I think she stood up in her highchair only 500 times.  Then she got to sit with great grandpa Bochat.

We stretched our legs at Finn Park.  The kids LOVED the big rocks to climb on.

We decided to stay in a hotel this time.  The kids LOVED LOVED LOVED it.  they got to watch cartoons in bed.  They ate a ridiculous amount of food at the yummy breakfast buffet, and next time we will reserve time to swim in the pool!  But it was awesome even without that and we were all asleep within 20 minutes of getting in the door.  we only woke up twice to turn the cold air off and put more blankets on cold kids! no crying!

it had a flat.  So Brelee and Daddy helped grandpa change the tube.

Granpda rides on the back and controls the gas and brakes while he lets the kids steer.  Wesly graduated this year and got to control the gas all by himself while grandpa walked alongside for safety. Next year maybe wesly will be going around in circles all on his own!

Our kids LOVE Golden Corral Buffet. I think the first time we went was with Grandma and Grandpa Bochat.  So it has kind of become a tradition when we go to Prescott.

Grandpa Bochat taught the kids a fun trick. :)  They like that the cup can be on the floor.

Can you say chocolate fountain?

Grandpa is a mechanic. Really, he is quite the engineer.  He built both the go kart and the Dune buggy. We all had fun riding around town in the Dune buggy and around the property in the go kart.

LEGO KIDS FEST

Last night we met up with Kenny and his two boys at the University of Phoenix Stadium for the LEGO KIDS FEST.

We had a TON of fun.  

The kids all had their different favorite parts.

Wesly: Galaxy Squad Shooting Alien Targets

Travis: I don’t know what was my favorite, I liked it ALL.  My favorite thing I brought home was my LEGO CHIMA ring of fire raven.

Nathan: ALL OF IT...I can’t decide.  I like my Galaxy Squad badge I brought home, my LEGO Chima I brought home, and my LEGO Magazine.

Brelee: My favorite part was going to the LEGOS. Taking pictures with the LEGO friends girls, and playing with the LEGO Friends.

I’ll have to ask Gid and Bren what their favorite parts were as well.  

I had high hopes for the class from the Master builder.  We got tickets, waited in line, and he was pretty boring though.

We were pleasantly surprised with the Chima arena races, they gave each child a LEGO Chima racer set.  SCORE!

The kids did a building challenge and also brought home a little star wars ship in a baggie.

And we also brought in a flyer we got in the mail a few months ago and each of the kids were able to get a ninja turtle mini figure. SWEET!

The kids had fun just building and playing and playing and building.  I think one of the fun building areas was the race tracks.  They would build a car, race it, it would break, they would rebuild and keep going.  Emi was running all over eating tires and throwing things, but she was hungry and all the LEGOS looked like candy to here anyways, and it was the last thing we did, so I don’t blame her.
