Christmas in July-Brent's New Big Boy Toys!!!

Happy Birthday Brent

Today is Brent's Birthday.....he turned 40 something! After a quick dinner with 2 of our boys at Article Circle we decided to go to Grandma and Grandpa Gubler's to pick us a handful of ripe Apricots. Brent climbed the tree (like he does every year) and started to pick the ones in the upper branches that were more ripe. The branch he was in hangs over a stair well that goes down to a celler, and it hangs over the celler. The roof actually comes up under part of the tree. Well all of a sudden the branch started to break and Brent hung on as he rode the branch down, luckily landing on the roof and not falling into the steep stair well. Needless to say we came home with a WHOLE LOT MORE than we had planned. And it took us a good hour (with the help of his parents and sister) to clean up the big mess. Unfortunately I didn't think to take any good pics of the BIG BRANCH that came down. He does have a few battle wounds but that's about it.....thank heavens.

The SkyWest Flight Operations Department is pleased to announce that Captain Brent Wilson is the new Manager of Aircraft Operations. Brent is a proven expert and leader in managing aircraft as it interfaces with flight operations.

In this new role, Brent will oversee a number of duties for both the EMB and CRJ fleets including: aircraft acquisition and delivery, operations communications (FOIB, FOAB), equipage, aircraft manuals, company manuals, AD compliance and will interface with the Manager of Aircraft Ops Technology for NextGen. He will also serve as the Flight Operations liaison with the Maintenance Department.

Brent started at SkyWest as a line pilot in the Metroliner. He has also served as a check airman, designated line check airman, CRJ Fleet Manager and most recently has been responsible for the Flight Standards Technical, CRJ.

Then walk the to the Hukilau beach
it's just across the street

There you can work on your tan
or if you white like me....get red as a beet

Then off to Ted's Bakery for lunch you will eat
burgers, smoothies, and some acai

Squeeze in a short nap
Then it's back to the beach

The sun starts to set
And you walk away slow

It's time now to pack
get ready to go home
