The kids are all Nestled
The kids are all nestled all sung in their beds, and it's 7:30 Christmas morning. I am the only one awake. Have been since 4:30 this morning. Even Brent is still snoozing peacfuly. I have to admit I am excited for this Christmas morning. But I blame my awakenss on a head cold that arrived yesterday morning. So I have been sitting in front of the lit Christmas tree for several hours enjoying the wonderful site (and blowing my nose). I keep wondering when my kids will finally wake up. I'm actually surprised that Brent is still asleep. Sometimes he is the first one to wake up and insist that everone else wake up. Well I will give them until 8:00 and then I will have to take action. Besides who really sleeps in this late on Christmas morning?

Early Christmas Present!
Guess where I'm going Thursday Night? YES YES YES! Brent got me tickets to Celine Dion for Christmas. He's going with me. And Chanae has been dying to go, so she bought a ticket too. I'm SOOOOOO EXCITED!

Finding the perfect Christmas Tree!
The Saturday after Thanksgiving we went on an old fashioned Christmas tree hunting expedtion. We went all the way to Kiabab. Linda, (Brent's Mom) says that Kiabab has the best trees for this area. So it's worth the drive.It was so exciting as you can see from our photos. Actually I had a great time. But it was really really cold! BBBRRRRRRRRR! On the way home we had the ride of our lives. Brent let Michael drive home. But he did a great job getting us home safe.

Eagle Projects in Progress
Michael and Dallin have finally started their Eagle Projects. Michael is collecting books for the Navajo Indian elementary school library. The goal: 500 Books! When the books start to come in Michael and his troop will repair and clean the books and make sure they are ready by the delivery date. Dallin is collecting bicycles for the Hopi Indian community. The goal: 25 bicycles! Dallin and his troop will repair and fix up the bikes and get them ready for the delivery date. NOW THE KICKER! The delivery date is DECEMBER 5TH. So basically they have 3 weeks!
Soooo.....if anyone has any children's books or bicycles that they are willing to donate please let us know. Thank you very much.

PIRATE WEDDING!
So my cousin Rebecca, had a pirate wedding in Las Vegas last Saturday. I must say that I have never been to a wedding like that before. It was very interesting to say the least. But we did all get into the spirit of it and dressed the part. Except my Dad.

Marathon Music
Snow Canyon Pep Band had the opportunity to play for runners near the finish line. They did a great job. Especially Michael! Needless to say, Michael was pretty tired after all that trumpeting.Saturday, October 6, 2007
St. George Marathon
So today was the day that the crazy people get up at 3:15 in the morning to catch a bus at 4:00 that takes them to the start of the St. George Marathon. Dallin and Kendrek ran the Marathon and they did GREAT! Kendrek's time was 3:44:54 and Dallin's time was 4:27:49. I think that they are both very AMAZING YOUNG MEN!

DANG! SUMMER'S OVER
Gee, I wish I would have thought to take First Day of School Pictures!
Unfortunately school/work has started for Michael, Dallin, and Brenda. Fortunately, we only had to buy school clothes for 2 kids this year. Poor Brian felt left out when he didn’t get any school clothes. The funny thing is that all three boys wear the same size in shirts, shoes, socks, and underwear. Sometimes they can wear the same jeans. Well, mom acidentally put one of Michael’s new shirts in Brian’s closet. So of course he wore it. Knowing darn well that it would tick off Michael. If they were smart they would share each others clothes which would give them a bigger wardrobe.
Michael is liking school, so it seems. He has had to change a few classes around to get his schedule just right. Sometimes he tells me about a class that he has and all the happenings. Then I find out that he really doesn’t have the class and he is just pulling my leg. Honestly, I really don’t know what classes he has, except seminary and band. I’m still not sure if he really does have photography and choir or what. Michael also is loving life right now because he now has a job at the Chocolate Factory and has purchased his own cell phone.
Dallin is very excited to be back at school. Of course the main reason is for his social life. He is on the cross country team and loving every minute of it. He is also getting ready for the Marathon in October. Dallin is in the symphonic band (8th & 9th combined) where he plays the 1st chair trumpet, and also in percussion. And he just made the drum line for the marching band and will play the snare.
Brian is still pluming away at his job. Two weeks ago Brad, his boss, made every one work until 10:30 then took them all boating. Then he paid Brian to clean the boat. Man, he has a hard life. And if you were wondering, yes he is still dating Jessie.
Chanae went to SLC last week to see Josh Gorban. I think that it is a 21st birthday present to herself. She went with a friend and she stayed with Mur and Tee. (Thanks for puttin her up). This was her 1st road trip as the driver.
Brent is suffering with a very serious problem right now. Which of course means that the whole family will be suffering with him. Brent forgot to bid for September!!!! I know that this means nothing too all of you out there that have jobs that put you home every night. But to our family it is a major catastrophe. Brent is working 5 days a week, with the 1st day being locals. Which means he will have to get a room. Plus he won’t be making any more money than if he was working 4 days. Anyway you may want to call and check on us periodically to make sure that we are surviving. Mainly Brent! Needless to say I don’t think that he will ever forget to bid again!
Work is going good for me. It’s just so hard to say goodbye to summer. It’s kind of sad not to have one of my boys there at Lava Ridge with me. I have had 4 straight years with Michael or Dallin there. At least I have Brittney there to keep me company.

HARRY POTTER MANIA
Ok, so Chanae and Michael ordered Harry Potter on line to be delivered to our door today. But last night Chanae was wishing that she was at the Harry Potter Parties buying the book at 12:01.
I gave her some chores to keep her busy this morning but when she was done all she could do was keep her eyes pealed for the mailman. He finally came about 1:30. Chanae and Michael have been reading ever since. Except for a few eating and potty breaks. (it is now 10:40 pm)
Dallin on the other hand has been bored out of his mind. And he has on occasion snuck up stairs to try to take a peak at what Chanae and Michael have been reading. Or he just has an itch to bug'em.
About 9:00 tonight Dallin started to go crazy and said "Mom, I can't take it anymore. Will you please take me to Walmart so I can buy a book?!"
Well, I decided to cave. Frankly I couldn't take it anymore either. Dallin really was going CRAZY! I knew that Devon(our neighboring cousin) was dying to get a book too. So we called him up and he said that his Uncle was at Walmart that very second buying him a book. So we had him get one for Dallin. Then we raced over (in the convertible) to his uncles house (closer to us than Walmart) then sped home.
Now 3 of my kids are in Harry Potter Heaven. Brian could care less right now. He's at his friends house. But I'm sure he will try to grab someones book the second they try to take a break.

For All you Wilsons
Sorry that I haven't emailed an update about the Big W Summers Games. Hopefully you will see it here on my blog. Dallin won the drawing for week 4. He won a gift certificate to the Pizza Factory. Congrats to Dallin. I still don't have everyone's time for week 5. So get those times into me for next weeks drawing. Thanks to the McArthur family for always getting their time to me in a timely manner! Only 2 1/2 weeks left to see who the Biggest Loser is. Good Luck!
Summer is Flying By
Summer is going by way too fast. And the kids have all been busy.
Brian and Michael had a blast at EFY. Luckily for Brian, his girlfriend Jessie went to the same session. So Brian and Jessie were able to show off their dancing moves in the Cha Cha competition. they took third place.
Michael is enjoying emailing, texting, and MSN(ing) a gal from Arizona that he met at EFY. Michael now has his driving permit. So the remainder of our summer may involve driving all over town in the middle of the night when it's not so hot.
Dallin has attended a week long Leadership Training Scout Camp and another week long scout camp with his troop. Two weeks ago Michael and Dallin were in Enterprise with Kendrick working for a farmer. They made lots of dough.
Chanae is still busy as the assistant manager at the Tuacahn Box Office. She has been counting down the days for the Big HARRY POTTER Movie and Book. Both Chanae and Michael ahve bought the book online and it Will be delivered to our door on the day it is released. I don't expect to get much out of them on that day. I guess I had better work'em hard the day before.

10th Semi-Annual Family Talent Night

Dallin's Track Meet
On Tuesday April the 17th my school had a track meet. We are only allowed to run two events and so I signed up for the mile and the 800. I also signed up for a third event just for fun. Well the track meet came and the first event we ran was the mile. I ran the mile and I got 5th place out of 18 runners and my time was 6 min 21 sec. After my event I went to go sit down when my name was called for the 200 which is a sprint, it is also the event I signed up on for fun. So I went and ran the 200 and got 5 place out of 6 runners and my time was 30 sec. After the 200 I went to go sit down,but got called to go run one last race. And so my final event was the 800. I ran the 800 and I got 1st place out of 14 runners and my time was 2 min and 47 sec. which is 6 sec away from the record.

The 80's are back
Tonight Brent took me to Air Supply at Tuacahn. They were really good. If you didn't go, you missed a good show. Even Chanae liked it. And really the 80's are making a come back. The new hair magazines have awsome 80's BIG HAIR styles that I used to have.
Brian's Senior Ball
Brian took Jessi to Senior Ball tonight. They rode in a really big (slightly dented) limo. I'm sure that Brian will tell you all about the fun they had on his blog.
