Happy Birthday Dale!

Dale turned 25 today! My hubby is 1/4 of a century old! To celebrate, last night we had some friends over for cake and ice cream. If you can't tell, I made him a hamburger cake (don't worry, it just looks like a hamburger).
I'm so grateful for such a wonderful husband, and for his parents who brought him into this world and raised him to be so incredible.
In honor of Dale's mom, who would buy Dale gummy worms for his birthday, Kimball got him a huge bag of gummy bears which will be quite fun for a while.
Thank you Dale for letting us be part of your life and part of your big day. I LOVE YOU!

Over the River and Through the Woods

So, my mom came up to Provo for the weekend and we loved having her here! She surprised us earlier this week with a phone call asking if it would be ok if she visited. Mom arrived here Friday afternoon and left Sunday night.
Kimball absolutely loved the attention she gave him, and I think he might have actually tried to say "Grandma" a few times. The first thing Grandma and Kimball did was play in the leaves outside and Kimball just kept using the sign for "more" as Grandma would bring him huge handfuls of leaves for him to throw.
My mom was amazing and did a bunch of dishes for me which was a huge lifesaver since our sink is now backed up and would have made all of those dishes nasty. Now we just have a gradually growing pile of dishes until our sink can get fixed :( She also changed tons of dirty diapers!

It's a...

We found out yesterday that we're having another boy! He looks healthy and is starting to kick. The due date is still March 29th.
So, we thought it'd be fun to have others comment on names. Just don't be upset if we don't pick the names you suggest. We probably won't reveal our decision until after the little guy arrives, so we hope you're patient :)

Happy Halloween!

Halloween was awesome. Kimball was the cutest dalmation in the world and actually enjoyed his costume, which meant he was willing to wear the hood. He refused to even attempt barking, however. We had fun carving our first pumpkin together, though it was the only jack-o-lantern in our complex. He did look a little lonely.
We took Kimball trick-or-treating to our neighbors and he's got the whole candy thing down.
One thing about Provo is the lack of older kids, so we had a sum total of 6 trick-or-treaters, 4 of which were under 3 years old and from our ward. It just means that we have a ton of candy left over for ourselves. :)
