Here's a quick rundown of the month...we started off December with the traditional advent calendars from Great Aunt Ganie...

Christmas 2019

This year we spent Christmas at home and it was wonderful. The kids were all old enough that we could put presents under the tree as they got wrapped, and not even Becca tried to unwrap them!

Shadow

We've been looking for chairs for our table for a while...chairs that are nice, sturdy, and won't break our hearts if our kids damage them in any way. Those are hard to find! A few weeks ago I saw a table with 6 chairs on Facebook for $125 and messaged the seller right away. They said someone was already getting it, but later messaged me and said we could have it.

The next day I loaded up the kids and the trailer and drove north of town to get the table. When we got there, Kimball got out of the van to play with their dogs. He asked the lady there what the dogs' names were and she said that the black dog had shown up a week ago, and if we wanted it we could have it.

November 2019

We are in holiday mode now with more and more happening each week.

Dale celebrated his birthday. He enjoyed cheering on the Sooners and Cougars in their football games. On our Thanksgiving trip to Albuquerque, he enjoyed lots of time to relax and read his book. He and the other partners at his firm got to spend some time at Top Golf in OKC.

Thanksgiving

Since the boys were supposed to be going on a camp out over Christmas break, we decided to head to Albuquerque for Thanksgiving.

We left on Monday the 25th after Dale taught his class at ECU (really, he showed up and so few students showed up that he gave them a bonus grade and sent every one home). The drive went pretty well, other than a ton of potty stops. When we got to my parents' house, we had dinner, and then discovered that Kimball was sick with a fever.

Dale turned the big 36 this year...which as he discovered is half the "age of man" according to the scriptures. He was quite introspective about reaching this point in his life.

His birthday was on a Sunday this year, with Stake Conference and a youth broadcast on the same day. We celebrated with a dinner of honey-lime chicken enchiladas, and a chocolate peanut butter cake. The office got him a spice cake...

We love you Dale...happy birthday!

October 2019

We finally got some lovely fall weather and the kids had plenty of fun things to do this month! A highlight for me was having Becky stop by one evening on her way to Albuquerque. Our kids loved playing together and it was wonderful to catch up for a bit.

Halloween Fun

As always, Halloween was a whirlwind of events leading up to the actual day involving costumes, pumpkins, and more :)

September 2019

September started off with Dale being in Utah to visit his dad (who had given us quite a scare with a stroke!). He flew there with his brother Greg. While he was there he helped fix up a few things, including a grandmother clock.

He continued teaching, and lawyering, and organ playing at church. Plus, college football started.

August 2019

Hooray for the end of summer! The kids actually did pretty well getting along until the last few weeks...then everyone was just ready for different company I guess.

First Day of School

Summer came to an end and the three older kids headed back to school! I made them a pencil cake to celebrate when they got home (inspired by my cousin Morgan)...

July 2019

After our trip the summer has flown by...we're knee deep in buying school supplies, adjusting our sleep schedules and preparing as much as possible to head back to school.

We've made many more trips to the library and have probably checked out a couple hundred books this summer.

Lily turns 5!

Lily has been looking forward to her birthday for months. As soon as summer break started, she would wake up every day asking if it was her birthday yet, and I would have to give her the bad news which resulted in quite a few tears. I finally printed out a calendar with balloons on her birthday so she could mark off every day we got closer to her birthday.

June 2019

We're well over half way through summer break and can hardly believe it. We've had some good adventures so far though!

The Blue Angels were in Oklahoma City, so we had to go up to see them (since we didn't get to see them when we went to Florida). We parked across the freeway from Tinker AFB, but it was still a bit loud for the girls.

The Rex reunion was in Oregon this year, so after much hemming and hawing, we decided to drive out and have some adventures along the way!

Tulsa

Ever since the beginning of last school year, when Cameron's teacher told him that the children's museum in Tulsa has a tape slide, the kids have been begging to go. The starts aligned when Dale had an Oklahoma Bar Association conference and we got to join him in Tulsa. While he went to meetings, we got to play and explore!

May 2019

The last 2 weeks of school were so hard...we were ready for the lazy mornings of summer!

Judy's weekend away

My baby sister Hannah graduated from Utah State University on May 3rd, so I got to fly out to Utah to see it! It was the first time in almost 13 years that I've gone on a trip by myself. On Thursday May 2nd, I got up and left by 5:30 to get to the airport in OKC for my flight. The flight was uneventful and I made it to Utah where my mom picked me up.

That day we went shopping, and spent most of the day at my brother Nate's house.

In Memorium of Duke

A few weeks ago, we noticed that Duke was limping. Dale took him into our vet who eventually diagnosed him with a sprained ACL and told us to let him be lazy for 4 weeks. He wasn't eating much and was pretty lethargic, but we thought he was just resting his leg...we could tell he was in pain.

April 2019

After waiting for two-ish years, the Oklahoma City temple was finally finished! We got to go to the open house and it was beautiful!

Sadly, Cameron was sick and threw up in the baptistry...fortunately he threw up in the one room with tile. But he didn't get to see much of the temple and wasn't in much of a mood to appreciate it.

Easter

We had a very busy, happy Easter this year!

Kimball turns 12!

How is Kimball already 12?!!!! We are definitely seeing so much growth and signs of maturity...and some pre-teen sass. He's 4' 11 1/2" tall and will probably get taller than me before I know it.

As we get closer to the end of the school year, time only seems to speed up!

Cameron turns 10!

For weeks leading up to his birthday, Cameron had to race to the calendar each day and mark off the previous day. To say he was excited for his birthday is an understatement! He wanted to take cookies to church the Sunday before, scouts the Monday before, science club the Wednesday before, scouts the night before, and his favorite Loft House cookies to class the day of his birthday...I told him we were only taking cookies to his class.

When he saw Becca's bunny cake, he told me we could do a Pikachu cake the same way, and the idea for his cake was born!

Spring Break 2019

It's a good thing that I didn't have much planned for spring break because we spent most of it just like we do every other year...sick! There were stomach bugs and effects of stomach bugs which kept us pretty much stuck at the house. My parents and brother Robert came to visit though...

How are we already 1/6 of the way through this year?! The first part of the year always seems to fly by.

Becca turns 2!

This past year flew by! It's hard to believe our baby girl is 2, and I keep getting told by multiple members of our family that she's not a baby anymore...nothing will change the fact she's my baby though. There are times when she sweetly tells me "baby" and wants to be cradled in my arms.

December 2018

The holidays kept us busy and flew by. The boys got to walk in the Parade of Lights with their Scout troop, and we got to watch. It was pretty warm for a December evening. The girls loved watching the floats, and Becca LOVED the horses. 

Christmas 2018

My parents ended up renting a condo in Pagosa Springs, CO for the week of Christmas. It was the first time all of the Bundy siblings and our kids have been together in over 3 years!
