This locality is one of the ~40 (*) “genetically” sub-localities (revealed and/or summarized in Cuchet et al. (2022)) of the giant alpine rare-earth mineralization — with its topographical extension of ~ 20 x 45 km, in Switzerland and Italy — situated into one precise level of gneiss of the Monte Leone nappe.

This locality is made of very sparse mineralized boulders fallen from cliffs situated in the direction of the Schwarzhorn.
