Unloading my brain

So a lot and a little going on as usual. I organized a Japanese culture meetup.com thing this past weekend at Daiso that went really well. I met some cool people and they seem to want to meet again. Work was hell yesterday, but slow today and I just need it to be Thanksgiving. Happy Thanksgiving to all!

I'm trying to figure out how much money I need to put aside for Las Vegas in a few weeks. Hotel will go on my card, Spice Girl tickets are paid for, and so is Thunder from Down Under (yay hot stripping Australians). That leaves food, transporation from the aiport, and gambling. I am going to take advantage of free drinks while you play!

There is a pretty hilarious thread on the MSN YourMoney message boards about the worst Christmas gifts ever. I can't remember mine, but one of the best gifts I ever recieved was from my brother. He must have been around 11 at the time and visited my apartment in college. Apparently he went home and was appalled at my lack of a toaster (toast being very central in his life at the time). He found a toaster he liked and then did chores for my mom to earn money. One day I randomly recieved a package from Amazon with a shiny white toaster. Sadly I don't have it after several moves, but it was one of the most thoughtful gifts I have ever gotten. Parker is now 16 (holy crap almost 17) and not nearly as thoughtful, but I love him anyways.
