Thought folks here would like to know that Dusty Stacks Bookstore is running a number of very affordable auctions on eBay. Almost all of the auctions are for horror books, and one group is specifically werewolf novels. Happy New Year!

Hey, I'm new here. I wanted to ask if anyone can recommend any good werewolf movies? I've already seen the Ginger Snaps movies, and I loved them.

| Weredogs! |
[09 May 2005|12:04am] |
Okay, I've been nuts about werewolves since I was a kid, so most of my friends picked it up, too. They've watched all the movies, and are actually enthusiastic about seeing new ones! Sometimes, to celebrate a new one in theaters or when we get together to watch DVDs, we make what we have finally settled upon calling Weredogs.
They're pretty silly, the idea came to me out of the blue one day. It's a mixture of Wolf Chili w/ no beans, and Manwich sauce. Get it? Wolf + Man, hahahaha! I know, I know. It's a horrible joke, but it's surprisingly tasty! I can't give you measurements because it's pretty much a by personal taste thing (just experiment!) but the Manwich sauce gives it a unique flavor.
We just slather that over our hot dog of choice (we end up having a few types in large groups), and ejoy while watching a werewolf flick. XD

Does anyone read the posts on this community anymore? Please leave a comment if you do. :) I'd really like to see if there's some active werewolf community around. I'm sure there's enough other people out there who have enough things to say about werewolves. ;D

| Help needed... |

...Hiya :) I'm in my third year at university and for one piece of coursework I'm writing an essay on the links between werewolf mythology and adolescents. I've got some background stuff, and of course a copy of Ginger Snaps, but I was wondering if anyone knew of any books, fiction or non-fiction that might be of any help for my research? All suggestions appreciated!

Ok....
Here are the rp boards.http://werewolfrpg.conforums2.com/index.cgi
The Registry part is open so you can plan characters etc and read up on stuff and post artand fiction.
Myes.
You WILL notice it looks bollocks.
That's where I need YOU.
Anyone want to brighten up the place?
If you're up for the job, post here, register and I'll set you up an admin account.
The place is still very basic, so I want everyone here to have a say and pitch in their ideas. Please?

Have two sites you guys might like....
http://www.kelleyarmstrong.com/index.html
Kelley Armstrongs Website.
She's the author of Stolen, Bitten and Dime Store Magic.
If you've read her books, you might want to read the E-Serials. They're very good!
The first story is about the 'taming' of Clay. I was never a great Clay fan at first, but having read 'Savage' I'm absolutly in love with him.
The next is Jeremy's way to Alphadom, as told by Clay, and the current E-serial is Clay and Elena's meeting.
Also lots of good lil' tidbits!
And here is the Otherworld RPG!
(Otherwolrd being the world of Ms Armstrong)
http://www.kelleyarmstrong.com/index.html
Also, anyone here fancy staring up a werewolf rpg? I have a site and such, but bugger all ability to decorate it and such.
Anyone interested in setting one up, post ideas here!

Hello all, just joined so I thought I'd introduce myself. I'm a big fan of werewolves, and have been since doing some research for a writing project last year. My favourite werewolf film is Ginger Snaps - it's so clever. Book has to be Kelly Armstrong's Bitten. Great to have found a place where I can obsessed with werewolves without being judged by the uniformed/uninterested!

| Hey all. |
[24 Apr 2004|04:00am] |
Just stumbled in here looking for something to do at 4 in the morning besides sleep...
I think alot of people have some kind of supernatural fondness, mine just happens to be werewolves. My favorite werewolf is by far John Talbain from the Darkstalkers video game series.
I look forward to good chatting but I'm actually getting sleepy now so, later.

This is a passage I'm working on for an RPG I'm part of. It's supposed to be taken from a book on lycanthropic psychology, I just wanted to see what you all thought of it.

( Random Postage Of A Short Werewolf StoryCollapse )</span></span>
My poor english teacher's had to put up with so many notes on werewolves and attempts to write about them in my journal. This is my shortest complete werewolf story.
It's....not terrible, I hope. But not great. Was just a random thing really :P

Alright, fiddled with the layout and did a background image. Tell me what you think, and feel free to give me suggestions. On the layout that's Oz, Angua and Remus Lupin. And of course a wolf.

Hello, just joined and wanted to say hi! I'm quite a bit of a werewolf fan, my two favorite specemines being the lovely Delphine Angua of Discworld fame, and Remus Lupin of the Harry Potter series. I've always been a fan of the myths and lore surrounding lycanthropes. I'm also horrible at introductions!
Question though, for the community. Do you prefer werewolves that control their changes, or ones that change only on the night of the full moon? Which, to you, is more interesting to read about?
Anyway, that's all from me!
