Why is it that it seems like the more mature a shoujo/josei manga gets, the more evil the main guy is? And after a few chapters when you are really sure that the writer is sick in the head for having the girl fall for a total sadist, they intro guy #2, and guy #2 is super cool, and yet you know she isn't going to choose him. I guess it's the fact that they want to make conflicts, but isn't there any other way to make your male lead a hottie and introduce conflicts into a story than to make him a rapid-fire super-horny rapezors machine?
Formula writing is reeeeeeeeeally lame. I am reminded of why I hated Hana Yori Dango. I mean, I like a good cold guy in a series, and I like a guy who's a little bit sneaky, and I don't mind a sparing dash of kichiku on my megane, but I feel like I have seen this plot so many times....
Guy: *traps girl in a room* I'll make you mine! *sex*
Girl: Iya! No, don't touch me there! Ooh! I like it! A little to the left! Wait, no, I HATE you!
Guy: *makes some snide comment and goes back to normal*
Girl: *sees him with other girls*
Guy: *comes back to her* You want some more? OKAY 8D *traps her in a room and repeat*
Intersperse this with one/more/all of the following:
a) One of them getting pushed down a flight of stairs
b) One of them has suppressed memories of a childhood trauma
c) a lot of slapping and screaming "NOOOO!"
d) guy licking something, like a knife
e) family tragical dorama
f) guy also macking on other guys
g) we see a lot of the girl's underwear (and yet never the guy's, he is going commando under his school trousers) and nipples
And there you have it, your very own Flower Comics mature shoujo manga! Lucky lucky you!
"Schizophrenic, (I bet this was actually psychotic and is a translation error) likes to make fun of me, the prince with the bad personality. He is always making me dizzy and everything centers around him. But I am so strongly attracted to him!" --Desire Climax vol. 7
