I read on a public journal entry of an old friend that I had died of an overdose, so this is just to say for the record that this is certainly not true.... and it's a disgrace to those that have genuinely died from an overdose... namely one of my most beloved LJ users from long ago...
I am still here... I guess it just goes to show that some things don't change... haha.

Anyone want to be a friend? I update regularly and read/comment friends journals everyday. My friends page lately have become ever so boring and I am looking for new reads. As far as myself, I am a 25 year old junkie nurse who has been writing for years about heroin and eating disorders, life and love. I don't post quizzes or surveys and I would like to think that I have some content worth reading. For those of you that have experience with both, how strong is codeine vs. oxycodone? As in, how many mg of codeine would one have to take to equal around 20 mg of oxy? Thanks in advance!

my psychiatrist invited me to speak to his class of students that he teaches at stanford medical school about my drug addiction today. these were the footnotes i brought along in case of brain-fart:
- strict, angry mom + peaceful, lenient dad
- middle school/social anxiety
- relationship with Katie
- GTA/probation
- katie sent away
- emotional/psych problems
- special classes/social detachment
- precocious(jap school?)/school is boring
- family problems explode
- older friends/heavy drinking
- 50 yr old man introduces me to meth/OC
- he gets clean and introduces me to 12 step
- shame/gult/vicious cycle
- turn 18/meet chris/start shooting up
- crack in an alleyway/threatened by gang
- lucky i didn't die
- telling my family/detox/rehab
- dopesickness
- lost weight + disregard for health 92 lbs
- current attitude (it's okay/it's not okay) (addicted mind or reasonable thoughts)
sound familiar, anyone?

yesterday i spent a lot of time vomiting. i have taken dopesickness to a new level, now i puke my guts out every time i do heroin along with all the other classic withdrawal symptoms. so just as my love for the drug was fading completely, my boyfriend came home with a bag of 40 mg oxycodones, saying they were probably fake. but i looked it up, and nope, they're real! they're the time-release kind that gel up when you try to cook them, so i'm parachuting them. it feels nice and wholesome to not be injecting drugs.

Hi there I'm emily I just thought I'd post, as I too love Opiates, but have thankfully been able to stay away from the illegal ones for over a year. I consider myself in recovery although am aware some may not. I'm on Methadone, and although it's controversial it saved my life, so I've got nothing but love for it, Anyways, I wanted to make those other MMT Patients out there,(not sure if there are any here) aware that I've started a community, for MMT Patients/Pro-Methadone, called MMTpretty. You can find it by searching Methaodne. Anyways, I'm not looking to steal people away from this community as this one serves it's purpose, as I love/loved Opiates, but just wanted to put it out there. Any of those curious about MMT, there are some great videos, and info there.

Do muscle relaxers really heighten the effect of narcotics?
My SIL said that taking Ultracet + Flexeril is like taking Vicodin to her. I'm wondering if I take Flexeril or Skelaxin with Vicodin if it will make it stronger. I don't want to test it without hearing experiences b/c Flerixil puts me to sleep but if it works I'll give it a shot. I've tried Benadryl like 1000 times and it doesn't do anything so I'm thinking no on this one though.

i took a few valium from my mother's heavily guarded stash and went to an AA meeting. a well rounded night.
today's a few days clean off tar, and i've been injecting subutex (not the greatest idea, i guess: it makes me disconnected and slightly queasy, but it's better than the madness of sobriety)
how are you all holding up?

thanks to everyone for the good advice. I'd never really dream of abusing a system that I so desperately need to function! But if I need to take the drugs anyway, I might as well get the most bang for my buck, right?
Well, I got prescribed MS Contin - 15mg, 128 pills/month. I need to take 2 at a time, three times a day. I also got prescribed Baclofen.
We'll see how it goes! I'm kinda nervous. Anyone know how these will compare to my 10mg oxycodones that I take 5-7 times a day?

I have had the good fortune of being treated by a pain clinic!
Next appointment I am going to be prescribed either morphine (ms contin?) the fentayl patch or methadone.
They all will work for my pain, yay! But the real question is...
Which one is more fun? :D That way I can request the good stuff.

I have 27mL of liquid morphine sulfate. Each mL = 20mg, same as 20mg pill. I've taken 30mg XR pills before, one at a time, but I chewed them to get an immediate effect, so I know I can handle a higher dose of morphine. 15mg IR pills don't really do much but take the edge off, so I know I need more than that. So, last night I took half a mL since it's supposed to kick in immediately, and didn't really feel much. I took another half a mL and felt a little queasy but no warm fuzzy feeling. I just took a very small sip (I couldn't find the dropper that goes with the bottle) that was probably almost a mL. Right now I feel a little queasy and I'm not hurting but I'm not feeling high. How much should I take at once to get that nice feeling we all want? How much is too much?
I also took 8 50mg Ultracets about 4 hours ago, don't know if that makes a difference.
PS - No way am I banging it. I'm deathly afraid of needles.

Not that it really matter as if I am going to make a new connect that is more local to my town. It'd be pretty sweet though so I don't have to take two trains, wit a three hour waiting period in between just to cop in Law-town. wicked ghey. I suppose that in one way it is better if I don't have quick and effortless access to it like when my roommate in New York would cop for me asking for nothing in return. That type of access only brews disaster. Considering how far I've come, might as well push till I have a car to make the drive and make the trips few and far between. Even still, if anyone is in Mass please hit me the fuck up. Lets chat anyway.

so ive noticed alot of people saying someone is trolling their journal...
if you would like me to help stop this nonsense please go to your options and make sure your journal logs I.P. addressed... ill do what i can to figure out who this idiot is and delete them from this community.
also any new suggestions on things you would like to see in this community? im already working on a few things like memories and other things that i wanted to see but it would really mean alot to me if you guys could help me out.... this is your community speak up and tell me what you want and me and the other mods will work together to make this happen
