    🌸 Chapter 1

Long ago, in a quiet mountain village,
an old man and his wife lived a modest life.
He collected bamboo to make a living,
and people called him “the bamboo cutter.”

One day, while he was in the forest,
he discovered a strange bamboo glowing with light.

“This is no ordinary bamboo,” he thought.

    When he cut it open,
he found a tiny, delicate girl inside.
She was no bigger than his hand.

    Amazed but overjoyed,
    he brought her home.

    His wife was delighted.
    They named the girl Kaguya-hime,
and raised her as their own daughter.

    ✏️ Chapter 1

    例:a tiny, delicate girl(小さくて、繊細な女の子)

She was no bigger than his hand.

Many noblemen and princes visited the house,
    hoping to marry her.

Among them, five high-ranking men made serious proposals.

Retrieve the fire-rat’s robe that doesn’t burn.
    Get a jewel from a dragon’s neck.

Soon, they will come to take me back.”

Bring the stone bowl of the Buddha.
Retrieve the fire-rat’s robe that doesn’t burn.

She looked up at the moon.
She has looked up at the moon.
