A community for discussing or using any of the three Gaelic languages: Gàidhlig (Scots Gaelic), Gaeilge (Irish) and Gaelg (Manx).
This means that posts in English (or other languages) need to have something to do with the languages, but posts in Gaelic can be about anything you like.
Originally intended as a classroom (see below), this community is whatever you make it.
Here’s the founder’s (r_macaonghuis) original welcome message: Hallo, ceud mìl fàilte! This community is dedicated to the Gaelic languages: Gàidhlig ((Scots/Scottish) Gaelic), Gaeilge (Irish) and Gaelg (Manx). It is intended to be utilised as an open classroom, 24hrs-7days. There are at present no specified mentors, but hopefully we will aquire some; if not, team-work always works well with language education. We may not vocalise, but the chance to develop reading and writing skills should not be missed. - Open to all levels! As membership expands, please begin posts or comments in a specific language with a designation, example; S- Scottish, I- Irish, or M- Manx. Thank you. While r_macaonghuis is away, caoin is minding the community. Some web resources
