Girly Make-Up Pouch

Inspired by Meretes Atelier facebook picture I have made a small make-up pouch. It will be a gift for a teenage girl.

I have also finished some more Oh my Stars! blocks:
Thanks for stopping by!

WISP: Oh my Stars!

11 more blocks done for my slow going Oh my Stars! quilt, I am then 27% done with the blocks according to my spreadsheet. What a nerd I am!

I am heading off to London for a couple of days this. I love London, can never get sick of it. Planning, among others, to visit Liberty of London fabric department.

I have not much traffic on my blog. Do anybody have any suggestion to how I can improve my blog and get more hits?

Zippy Strippy New Year

"Zippy Strippy" by Athinson Design (ATK-149), large size (11,5"w x 6"h x 4"d). Moda Marbles fabric (maroon/red) and some black/grey scraps.
A good basic pattern. Make sure you get the stripes on in a correct angle, mine did not an the stripes did not match at the button of the bag.

Frolic Applique Quilt:
"Holly vine" and "Warm Milk" blocks are done. My stichery class helped me so I could also add the stem stiches. I am not happy with the applique yet, keep practicing?

Linn Juvel Baby suit. Need to assemble the pants and have to figure out how to crochet around the neck and arms. Back for the blue hooded jacket is also done.

Happy New Year!

Learn to Count?

Counting seems to be a challenge to me these days....
I love this quilt, "Flurry" by Kate Spain. Not a very exiting project to put together, but o so lovely.
I am debating to get it quilted by a long-arm quilter.
I do need to find fabric for the binding too.
Maybe done by christmas?

On the design board

On my design board (made up from a bed sheet) is a caleidoscope quilt. I am thinking rainbow colors in a lap size quilt for my sister. Too much pink I see now from the picture above, will fix that.

The two quilt projects and patterns I have finished recently will be coming in the fall in Quiltemagasinet and Norsk Quilteblad. I am so happy about that, a personal goal is aquired!

Frame for "Sorry Jane"

I lost my inspiration to work on my Dear Jane quilt. I guess I need more instructions on the techniques that can be used. So now I put the few finished blocks (that I of course still think is beautiful) together as a small wall hanging. But I want to make a small frame. Thinking deep red binding, like in the front middle block.
Do you have any suggestion for a fairly narrow frame?
(If I use your suggestion I will contact you and send you a little surprise in the mail.)

Working hard now on my quilt for the annual NQF competition. I'm late..

Life is good, it's saturday, house is clean, chocolate taste in my mouth, fireplace is lit and so are my scented candles. My cats are asleep, they are actually snoring.
