Hey, crafty friends......

Would anyone be willing to demonstrate HOW TO KNIT in my Creativity & Wellness group at work?
We have workshops just about every month.

I can't pay for a demo, but you can certainly sell products and/or promote an Etsy site, etc.

The workshops are typically the last Tuesday of the month at lunchtime, 12:00pm to 1:00pm.

MCAD Art Sale--next Friday and Saturday!



The 2008 MCAD Annual Art Sale is just a week away! As seen in the November issues of METRO and Mpls.St.Paul, the two-day extravaganza takes place Friday, Nov. 21, from 6 to 9 p.m. and Saturday, Nov. 22, from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. Last year's sale offered more than 10,000 works of art by 400 students and recent alumni--so be sure to join us for both days of the sale!

Friday: Purchase advance tickets for $35 online, by phone or in person--find out how. Admission at the door is $40. Valet parking will be available for $5 (Friday only).

Saturday: Admission is complimentary all day long--no ticket required! We also offer free art activities for kids from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m.--just follow the signs and register your children at the event.

Hello.

I am teaching a class on Silk Fusion at the Bell Museum of Natural History in Minneapolis this Sunday. Silk fusion is a technique used to form a fiber matrix with just about any fiber and can be shaped just about any way you please. I use it to create bowls, fabric, book marks, hats, sculptures.
Here is the class description from the Bell.

Plants and Silk Fusion
Sunday, April 15
1 p.m.–4 p.m.
$45, $35 members (includes supply fee)
Create a silk fusion sheet by integrating layers of soy and tussah silk, wool, plant parts, and other materials. The sheet can be dried flat or molded into any desired shape such as a bowl, box, or journal cover. Supplies included in fee. Instructor is Project Art for Nature artist Elaine Evans.
