Greeting & welcome to the missing_nin, a fanfiction drabble LiveJournal Community. First things first, there are a few rules. Basically common courtesy; play nice, use a LJ-cut in spoilerific posts, fanart & fanfiction & icons are welcome as long as they are Naruto themed. Het, yuri, and yaoi are welcome, anything considered racy/R+/NC-17/not worksafe should be placed behind a cut labeled as such.
RULES:
missing_nin is a community dedicated to Naruto drabbles. We allow drabbles of all genres, of all ratings/parings and in all timelines.
1. Drabble: A drabble is an extremely short work of fiction of exactly one hundred words in length, although the term is often loosely used to indicate a short story of fewer than 1000 words. The purpose of the drabble is brevity, testing the author's ability to express interesting and meaningful ideas in an extremely confined space. **However some contests may have a word limit, and will be noted as such.
2. This community is for both posting your personal drabbles as well as taking part in challenges hosted here. Alternately, you could simply choose to read and leave feedback if writing (or drabbles) are not your style. The only requirement for feedback is that you remain polite when leaving a comment on someone’s work. Constructive criticism can be put in a polite way.
3. Only members have posting access.
4. Posting: Make sure that all NSFW (NC-17) drabbles and drabbles containing spoilers (anything from the last twenty chapters of the manga or the last twenty episodes of the anime) are labeled accordingly and are under an lj cut. Drabbles may be posted as new entries. Please tag all drabbles appropriately. Once the community traffic becomes heavier, posting rules may be modified.
5. If you wish to take part in our challenges, make a new post with your challenge entry and tag it appropriately. Tagging helps us keep everything organized so please don’t forget to do so.
Feedback is not only allowed but highly encouraged. However, if you don’t have anything nice to say about a piece of writing, then it’s usually best not to say anything.
Prizes will be awarded at the end of each contest period (contests time frames are generally weekly, however, may be extended to bi-weekly) in the forms of banners proclaiming your awesomeness. The winners for these will be decided by the mods (or a guest judge). Every twelve weeks, a longer poll will run consisting of all twelve winners. This will depend on the group members and who the members vote was the best among the twelve. The voting will last a week and the winner will be awarded a prize (paid livejournal time if the winner is not a US resident) shipped to wherever he/she is. US residents will be given the option of paid time or a tangible prize.
A banner will also be awarded to the member who has been the most helpful in terms of feedback. The title of most helpful ninja and the prize will be awarded every twelve weeks along with the massive winner.
For further clarification, please feel free to contact your friendly neighborhood mods via PM or Email. Please try not to ask questions unrelated to challenges in comments. With everyone writing and leaving reviews, we might miss something. Better to nudge us personally.
