I will not complain about work

I will not complain about lack of sleep

I will not send the flames of hell down on whoever stole my cookies at work

Cookies are not worth going to prison... I think.

Anyway, real life aside, here's a music meme nabbed on the fly from davesmusictank. Twenty songs/tunes I've been listening to lately, mostly to and from work and when we have the radio on at work. Yes I is sophisticated listener of music, me. XD

So those are the 20 tunes I've been listening to lately, what about you?

Hello dear flist, things continue to snowball, drowning me in stupid amounts of work but the good news is, all the stress is driving me to write again. I’ve actually updated my ff.net page and last night I wrote an entire chapter of my WIP Fleeting and have been researching/drawing out timelines for another epic multichip in a different fandom which I’m afraid to even type out here for fear that it will indeed sound as stupid as it does in my head.

So with that, here’s Anna/hamsterwoman's To Be Read meme. <3

Why yes, I certainly do. I've been meaning to post for ages but life just went through a huge change and well, I'm still unsure how to process it so of course I'm going to meme instead. I feel too down at the moment to do Anna's positivity meme and the self awareness meme from Kim would probably get all kinds of introspective which will make me question my life so here's a light fluffy one from fannish5instead.

5 first fictional characters you had a crush on.

This unremarkable post marks my return to why I started posting regularly on LJ in the first places, MEMES! This simple one comes from fannish5. :

Name five favorite episodes of your five favorite series

Before I begin, its worth noting that I've been meaning to post short reviews/reactions of all the TV shows I've caught up with this last year (and two years in some cases, thanks HIMYM) so this is very aptly timed. I'll try to keep it as spoiler free as Possible.

( In no particular orderCollapse )

Those are my five picks, I'd love to read some of yours. <3

So initially I planned to post in depth menaing of life look at my intelectualism reviews of books, until I realised it would take me all night to do that. So instead, here's a list of stuff I've read recently (these last two months or so) and short bursts of reaction.

( No Spoilers Be HereinCollapse )

You've been there for my various rants on our political system, our lousy speakers, the Obedient Wives Club so its only fitting that I share the newest pile of shit to have hit this country.

Seriously, how are very any different from Melisandre ruling through Stannis?

Well, for one thing Mel is a lot sexier than our bomohs...

That's not even the worst part. On the news today it leaked that these witch doctors were being paid 1.8 million Malaysian Dollars for their efforts. Seriously, if it isn't our first lady buying jewelry, its our tax dollars going to these kind of shitty endeavors.

Someone please come rescue me now.

Why right here. Though its just one, but its pink!

In other words I finally caved in and got a dragon from the Dragon Cave. I've seen a few folks do this on LJ so basically this post is just to ask my flist very nicely to click on my pretty pink dragon egg and help it hatch/grow. Please?

When this dragon is grown is shall take over... uhh... a fairly small and insignificant kingdom, but you'll still be an important person in said kingdom because you helped it grow. <3

In other words the Season 4 trailer of GoT is out and despite all my earlier misgivings, I'm sort of kind of looking forwards to it. HBO bring the old Dario baaaack!

I also managed to be slightly productive this week, fandom wise by submitting an entry to fma_fic_contest, here's to hoping more will follow.

In the meantime, here's a meme. Stolen from newly friended and thoroughly stalked loved deeplyunhip who in turn stole it from Anna/ hamsterwoman.

( If you're looking for pink hearts... you've come to the RIGHT place! <333Collapse )

It is known far and wide that ikel89 's gift exchanges are the best part of the holidays AFTER the holidays. It is also known that she has a knack for pairing amazing people together to play secret Santa and this year did not disappoint. My secret Santa for this round was alorarose / Vaidah whom I love to death for being the best Santa ever. Seriously, don't believe me, take a look beneath cut:

( And much squeeing ensuedCollapse )

So to sum it up, thank you so much Vaidah, you are so beyond amazing and this came just at the right time too. I've been having a ridiculously hard time at work and this made my day. I hope your secret Santa makes you even more happy than you made me. <3

And of course, a huge tip of the old hat to my darling Agent K for managing this colossal international event once again with such finesse. <3

And back with a meme. Because my RL has been to bleh to talk about, this one comes from my dear bay115 who asked me five questions which I had to answer in my journal. If you guys would like me to ask you 5 questions so you can answer them in your journal, comment here with "Meme me baby!" XD

So everyone, what have you been up to? I've been keeping up with most of your updates but not replying to people much. Hope everyone's doing alright.
