Inactive split blinks #5855
|
Opening mc (midnight commander) in a split and switching away from it makes the whole mc window blink at a rate of a cursor. Screencast.From.2025-02-18.10-19-56-00.00.00.000-00.00.17.944.mp4 |

Also, the same happens even with an empty split, so it's not mc-related. What's strange is that if I switch to some other window and than back to ghostty it works fine. Right until I switch to another split. |

Duplicate #5611 note there are like 4/5 of these please search next time |

This is a duplicate, please search for it. This is not a Ghostty bug, this is because mc isn't using synchronized output and you're seeing tearing. macOS changes our frame rates for non-focused Metal views and we dont' do anything about that (on purpose, it allows for power efficiency). |
