Notes
[modifier le wikicode]- Les mots formés avec le préfixe ge- sont traditionellement toujours au pluriel car ils représentent un groupe mixte : gepatroj (« père et mère »). De nos jours on retrouve, par extension, ce suffixe dans des mots au singulier ayant des racines masculines par défaut : gepatro (« parent, peu importe l’identité de genre »). Cet usage est parfois critiqué par quelques espérantophones qui préfèrent des locutions comme unu el la gepatroj (« un·e des parents »), patro aŭ patrino (« père ou mère »), ou bien ajouter le suffixe -an- (« membre d’un groupe ») avec ce préfixe, comme dans gepatrano (« membre du groupe des parents »).
