From yogaclass4cats, yer friendly neighborhood mod:

Once upon a time, a message board on AOL gained a great deal of popularity. That message board was Dieting in Teens, aka DIT. Over the years, the regular posters made tight, long-lasting e-friendships. Through the boards ups (support, dramafests, private jokes) and downs (controlling mods, dramafests, ED/dancer invasions), we all remained on the boards for one purpose: to talk shit about each other

(nowaitimeantosupportourdietsandweightlosscough).

Now, AOL has killed the old format of the boards (and changed the name: Dieting in Young Adults my ass!) making it cumbersome and/or impossible for them to be accessed in a user-friendly way. The boards are dying, but I don't want the camaraderie (and the shit-talking) from DIT to die. So, here's an LJ community dedicated to the boards and what they stood for.

Here, you can talk about whatever: dieting, weight loss, your boyfriend, who you can't stand. Just don't be a jerk. The definition of "jerk" is solely at my discretion, but I have a high tolerance, so I'll let most things go. Don't make fun of anybody because of their weight or for any other stupid reason, and we should be good.

This is also a place of bonding over common struggles and etc.

Anyone who has ever been involved with DIT or AOL's dieting message boards is welcome, and debate is encouraged. If you don't have an LJ, I will allow anonymous comments, but anonymous posts is a whole 'nother can of worms. Sign up for an LJ! It's easy, quick, painless and fun :P

Most of all, have fun! Spread the word to former DITers, and to people who like their dieting mixed with a hefty dose of drama. We don't bite (unless you're stupid, in which case, you deserve it ;) )
