Who: Clark/Lex
When: At a party
Continuity: Loosely based upon the comic continuity in which Lex and Clark were friends in high school but while Lex was making an antidote to kryptonite for Clark, Clark caused Lex to burn his hair off, causing them to be enemies. We assumed that since Lex was making an antidote for Clark that he knew about his alien heritage or something along those lines and put two and two together and therefore knows who Superman is.
Rating: NC-17 for graphic sex
Summary: Clark crashes a party on JLA orders, and despite his Boy Scout misgivings about spying, he winds up spending the night with Lex anyway. But everyone knows Lex isn't quite right upstairs....

Asylum Reform Sparks Controversy In Gotham

Giovanni De Costa, an award-winning psychologist, described the conditions in Arkham Asylum as "deplorable" and "unfit for human beings" in an interview with the Gotham Daily News given yesterday. He demanded that the state take action, saying he would take his case to the mayor if no one did anything. This has sparked a debate that echoes in every circle of Gotham, especially when a source in the mayor's office told the press that Gotham received five million a year from the Federal Government for maintaining Arkham Asylum.
A silent protest is being held outside the Asylum by members of various reform groups. They are rallying for a better treatment for those incarcerated at Arkham and for a government oversight committee to be formed to determine how Arkham's Federal Grant is being utilitized.
Gotham police officer Ronald Bauer said, "You work for years to put these psychos behind bars...and then people want to make [Arkham] into some kind of Club Med." Police Commissioner James 'Jim' Gordon was unavailable for comment. However, Jeremiah Arkham, the administrator of Arkham Asylum, said, "We are forced to deal with the worst of humanity, the truest form ofe vil that our race is capable of. I think we do a damn fine job, myself."
When questioned about Dr. Arkham's response, Dr. De Costa said, "By treating people as inhuman, we become able to distance ourself from them and see them as nothing more than animals. Therefore, we can justify our own cruelty towards them. However, by treating people in this manner--no matter their crimes--we become inhuman ourselves."

List of Rules:
I decided it was time I typed up some basic RP rules I would prefer /everyone/ follow. That means you. It also means me, of course, but that’s beside the point. This will go on the communities user info page shortly.
1. NO original characters. I don’t mean minor characters. Like, if there needs to be a police officer in a scene whose beaten half to death, or some victims to be killed, fine. I mean characters who are going to affect the RP permanently or who you plan as Rping multiple times. If you have some kind of doubts about whether a character is appropriate to use in the RP, ASK me. Kage. The mod. kagechikara@yahoo.com if I’m not on AIM, comprende?
2. Don’t edit character’s backstories. Please. I know its an opportunity to bring it extra-angst, but stick to canon. That’s all I can think to say on that.
3. No bunnying. For those of you who don’t know, bunnying is posting for someone else’s character. For instance, if I say, “Bruce swung and hit Joker across the head, knocking him out”, I’ve just committed the cardinal sin of bunnying. Never assume, /especially/ in combat, that a strike hits home. Always give the other person the benefit of the doubt.
4. For that matter, don’t use someone else’s OC. I know, I said no original characters, but if someone uses a minor character, they probably have a point for it being in the scene. For instance, if Joker was torturing someone, and I said, “Batman swung and hit Joker, while the woman scrambled away..” I’m using someone else’s character. Don’t put dialogue in a minor character’s mouth, either. Its bunnying and is bad.
5. I know this is reiterated everywhere, but try to use correct grammar. You don’t have to spell everything right or use complete sentences, because god knows I don’t. But just try to get some semblance of understandability across.
6. If you have a problem with anyone or anything in the RP, /please/ come to me. That’s not a rule, it’s a request. I’m not the world’s greatest mod. I made this RP because I was about this far from killing someone if I didn’t get some Batman RP.

See, the problem with this RP is that it appears dead and a good part of that problem can be attributed to me. Not me Batman, me Kage, because when I go home for the summer, I have a problem where AIM never works right and I can't be bothered to get online as much. I was really excited about how this project was going and then it just up and died on me (mea culpa).
But it was a solid RP. We have a solid form, a good idea and some truly /amazing/ roleplayers. So I'm going to try again. I'll be emailing everyone in my list of people who used to be in this RP, and then I'll be recruiting. Right now I'll list every character who is taken, and their LJ names. BTW, if you'd like to give your character LJ to someone else because time, money or personal constraints prevent you from joining, then just email me (kagechikara@yahoo.com) the password, okay?

*sigh* It seems like this is all that's being posted lately. Here's a tidbit for those of you who (like me) have been missing this comm.

Mood: Well, the first one (Shutting Me Down) is really damn angsty and twisted. The second (Damn it All) is kind of cute and romantic.

Where: A fancy restaurant.
When: Daytime, a few days before Dick leaves for Bludhaven.
Rating: Pretty PG this time, actually.
Warnings: Fluff, and lots of it. Not recommended for consumption by diabetics.
Summary: Bruce and Dick need to talk. Of course, it doesn't hurt to make Dick jealous in the process.
