Sooo ok cupid: had a lot of visitors but no emails from most of the people who look @ it. The ones I reply to first: some right back but most, no. The ones I do get, I write back & they don't respond ORRR they write like this "lemme no wats da deal" uggh!

hi all. i am new to this community. i just recently came out, actually!!! :)
i was just reading an article about the possibility of ever having a gay president and it said that 60% of Americans would be in favor for that. i can't believe that many people would support it! seriously... i mean, it seemed like a HUGE deal for there to be a woman running and a HUGE deal for there to be a non-white man... a little weird that suddenly everyone would embrace a gay person. and can you imagine if it was a lesbian? it would be a gay hillary - i wonder how many people would support that!! maybe the people that answered the survey were just trying to be PC? thoughts?

Anywho, since then a rough idea of what the site will look like has come about.. however, I still need your help.
I was hoping that some of you might be willing to submit some stuff for the site.. whether that be researched papers concerning any topic of interest related to the site, poems, personal stories or coming out stories.. even pics of you with your significant other or from pride or anything of the sort would be great.
Essentially I want this to be a site where we can feel personally involved and personally effected, while at the same time finding a ground for becoming active in our own communities. The site is to be called "United We Roar!" -- and I hope that the name will embody the truth of all of us. (and not to promote, but I created a community under the same name, as a place to discuss the future of the site among other things).
I hope you all will consider helping.. also if anyone is really good at creating webpages, I could use some help spiffing up the site layout would be awesome. :) Thanks in advance!!

I am working on a concept for a website. The idea is that it will be for the promotion of GLBT equality, but I want it to include much more than that. Really what I want to do is include resources about what religion (not just Christianity, but religion in general) says.. show what those out there who are against those of are saying (ie Westboro Baptist Church that formed the godhatesfags.com website or the religious right extremists of other denominations).. and I want to offer the opportunity to do things in the GLBT community to help get things done. I'd also like to keep the everyone informed on current events (good and bad), as well as past events of the last few decades (or even further back), to give perspective to the roots of the movement. I'd like to present all the information I have on the psychological perspective on homosexuality and transgenderism. And I'd like to present the information I have on gender studies.
However, I need your help. I need to know what is relevant to you and what you want to see in a website that you don't already see. I want you to tell me what sorts of things you'd like to see done in your community or things you'd like to do to help out, if you had the right opportunity. I want this to be a website about the people who are concerned. So tell me, what do you want see everyone? Give me any and all opinions and perspectives.. good, bad or indifferent. I don't care if you think that it's a stupid idea or a great idea, I want to hear them all. :)
And don't think you have to be gay to reply! I want all perspectives and ideas! Just message me and let me know.. or if you'd prefer, IM me at Rei13wolf or drop me an email at minako13_wolf@yahoo.com.

I'm 22, bipolar, disabled(due to the bipolar/anexity/ect), childfree, single(happy), uhm my ex called me "the granola dyke" apparently i am way to much of a "hippie" for her, o well. i like art, movies with subtitles, the l word, cartoons and I have a very odd sleeping schedual. I'm easily amused and I wax political way to often. I'm snarky and blunt. indeed i'm snarky my old journal was (snarkism) after all. Despite being gay, I think alan cumming (points to icon) is a sexy beast.
