Operation Backyard campout

I'm so far behind...I'm not even going to try and catch up. So, we skip from May to Fourth of July weekend 2010. The summer has been so busy, we needed a little down time but we didn't want to miss out on some camping fun, so we diecided to stay home, but campout in the backyard complete with campfire food and fishing. It was actually very nice to have our own bathroom, use of my kitchen, and best of all we didn't have to pack the car, drive far, or find anyone to watch the dogs! We'll definitely be doing this again!!!

I took some pictures of my girlie at McCloud Nature Park this weekend while the boys were at a geology workshop for cub scouts. She didn't want her picture taken, but cooperated for a few good shots!

Home run hitter

Wesley finally had his first and second baseball games. He was very upset when the first scheduled game was postponed because of wet fields. He is playing for the Phillies this year with Coach Troy and many boys from their team last year. He eats, sleeps and breathes baseball right now! He's always got a ball and mit in hand 'playing catch with himself!' He even whacked himself in the forehead at one of Zachary's games while throwing the ball up as high as he could and trying to catch it. It hit him so hard it left a red circle including the stitching on his forehead, but he went right back throwing and catching!

Opening day!!

Baseball season has begun! With both boys playing baseball, Zachary in cub scouts and 4-H, and church and school activites our schedule is CRAZY!! But, it is so fun to watch the boys progress and build new friendships and meet up with olds friends too!! Zachary had his first game on Saturday. He is on the Braves this year. So, far he's playing mostly 2nd base and short stop.

Birthday Fun

Wow! I can't believe my baby boy is 9! Bagels, bowling, ice cream, video games, fun with friends, pizza, & cupcakes! What a day!! Happy Birthday Bubba! We love you!!
