Family Fun

We went to the park a few weeks ago and had so much fun. Most of the time I find a place to sit and keep an eye on the kids, but this time Jared and I played with the kids. We got on the swings and had a little competition...Jared won.

Then we got the kids to RACE!!! They had to climb up and go over the rope and then run to the slide and whoever got to the bottom of the slide first won.

Ellie didn't ever win, I don't think she knew she was racing Carter.

Hailey and Court took turns winning.

On Sunday I had to take a few pictures of an interesting object for a class project and here is what I chose.

We went out before and I didn't get all the pictures that I needed so we had to go back. Court HAD to bring his camera too and was so excited to get some pictures. This place was so fun for the kids. Jared stayed in the car with Ellie while she took a nap and Hailey, Court and Carter ran around and found all sorts of treasures. I never thought that an abandoned house could be so fun!!! It was only a little dangerous since there was broken glass EVERYWHERE!!!

My only regret is that I kept telling the kids to get out of the picture so I could get a shot of the house. I only got them in a few shots.

They keep asking when we can go back!!!!

Today is Court's 7th Birthday!! Of course he got to decorate his own cake. Yesterday we went to the store to pick out the cake mix and frosting and sprinkles, then this afternoon I asked him if he wanted to put some toys on his cake and he chose Ben 10. We found a ben 10 cake online and tried to copy...I think it turned out super cute!!singing

Court's new favorite thing is Bakugans. They are these balls that you put on a magnet and then the magnet makes them flip open into some kind of charactor. Pretty fun!

When we were making his cake he said, "This is the best birthday ever!!" I think he says that every year.

All you need is a bike, masking tape, a small plastic storage bin and your favorite dolly!!!

Earlier I noticed that all my ribbons had been pulled down from the cupboard and so I asked Hailey, "Did you get the ribbon down?" H said, "Yes, I had to make a seat belt for Ellie." Ellie had a ribbon tied around her and the front of the bike. Big sisters are so fun...I miss mine.

That's just too bad for me...ok, and them too.

Carter got out of the bathtub this morning and was trying his best to stay warm in his towel and says to me, "Mom, when I grow up I'm gonna be....I'm gonna be a scarecrow." I love his randomness.

I needed to remember that tonight since Jared & I have spent quite a bit of time cleaning up Carter and Ellie's barf off carpet, walls, bunkbeds (both since he's on the top, Court was missed by just a few inches!!), baseboards.

It was fine on Monday night when both of my older kids could make it to a bowl or the toilet, but both Ellie and Carter started throwing up tonight, ALL.OVER.EVERYTHING. The carpet is the worst thing that can be thrown up on. Super Yucky.

Happy Birthday Ellie!!! She's a big 3 year old today!!!!

Last Night Hailey and Court started with the stomach flu so they got to stay home today and we got to PARTY all day. They are feeling much better, as you can tell, but Court is still fevering.

We got to have a lunch time party before Dad left for work.

Trying to blow out the candles, it took about 6 tries then Dad picked up the plate so it was right next to her face and she got them all.

She was so excited to open presents, she had the biggest grin.
