Play Along Toys AOME LOTR Battle Scale Figures - #48170 Gollum (Toys-R-Us Promo in Window Box)

Back in 2015 I posted all of the window box Battle Scale Figures I had - but was missing one of the Ringwraith's, Haldir, and Gollum. The Ringwraith and Haldir were recently posted and today we're presenting Gollum. That I know of, Gollum and Frodo (posted in 2015) are the only two non-international window box promos available as Toys-R-Us promos. Toys-R-Us had a bunch more AOME LOTR promotional items, but those two were the only single figure, window box offerings.

Forces of Valor (FOV) / Unimax #82003 1/32 Scale Diecast U.S. Jeep Willys - Normandy 1944 (2003) - Pt 2 Driver

I spent months documenting Forces of Valor / Unimax figure sets and it's worth noting that FOV made different poses for their vehicles than what was offered in the figure sets. By my estimation, they made 16 different U.S. Infantry sculpts for their sets. This driver puts the count at 17. As each vehicle had its own figure(s) and as I don't have every vehicle FOV made I may not end up with an exact count. But there's no harm in trying.

Let's Chat: Play Along Toys - Mouth of Sauron

The basis for this chat was Play Along Toys AOME LOTR 'Warriors and Battle Beasts' series, 'The Mouth of Sauron'. This was originally posted back in 2011 as a basic photo essay, but Chat GPT has given my old photos new life.

You'll notice I don't delve into LOTR lore in these posts. There's just too much and I can end up spending all my time just researching. I'll let y'all do that!!

While we're talking about photos, I've been busy taking a lot of new photos! Back in the day I posted a ton of snaps but they were all the figure sets. For whatever reason, I took very few photos of larger sets, or the sets with heavy gear, like ballista's and catapults, and such, so that's what I've been busy doing. It's slow going I can tell you and I'll post what I can, when I can!

Ya know, I've gotten a lot of stuff ready for the blog so why is it I don't feel like I did? What's goin' on anyway?? Must be the full moon acting up on me. 😆

Here's another one of my Cave finds - a toy that has been sitting out there in The Cave for years before I finally got off me bloody arse and did something. As a fatter-of-mact, I just put the finishing touches on all the photos and scans like, an hour ago.

I followed the box photos as well as the photo on the insert when taking my snaps but I believe the guys at Unimax may have gotten things a bit mixed up. The heavier 50cal MG should be on the Jeep mount, while the lighter 30cal MG would be on the tripod. Battlefield mods??
