Our trip to California

Steve had a work convention in Santa Clara California.  We decided I should tag along with him. It was a very nice break from the day to day activities.

 Headed out!  Leaving for a vacation is always an exciting activity.

The hotel had a great breakfast buffet the first day we were there.

My first day I thought I would head out to the art museum in San Jose.  Forgot that most museum's are closed on Monday. I went back the next day and it was a very disappointing art collection.

The technology museum was fun.  This little contraption would move the blocks around and write anything you would tell it to.

Braden asked me to bring him something from the New York Yankees. I went to the wrong side of the United States for that, but luckily I found this sports store in the mall and found some items that made him happy.

I went to a movie all by myself. It was wonderful.  I saw a foreign film named Instructions Not Included. It made me cry and made me think about being a parent and what important work it is.

 Asher got stuck at the top of the jungle gym.  Made for a cute photo.

 Logan was at the park from 8:30 in the morning until 5 at night. Most of the time he was helping one of the volunteers with their booths.  They knew him by name and he worked hard to help however he could.

 Logan wanted pushpins pointing towards his eyes.  Didn't work too well.

Preston wanted to snuggle with Logan one night.  Logan let him in his bed and snuggled until they both fell asleep. I love finding moments like this!

 Joan has the following mood tracker on her fridge. I think it's fun that she can let her family know what kind of mood she is in.  In a similar way, I found the Mommy mood advisory chart above.  It let's my kids know what kind of mood I'm in. My favorite thing about it is Logan changes it for me!

 Two of the many messes my little Tono gets into.  He loves to toilet paper the house. I don't know when the last time I was able to take toilet paper off the roll rather than from a wad in a plastic bag.
