Sam Houston Homecoming Game 9.10.09

Great game...they won and Tim enjoyed his team winning! Chad and Julie came with us...it was a blast! We didn't know but it was also Sammy's 50th Birthday Party!!!

We stopped at Double Dave's for some pizza before the game and then headed to the stadium!

Reba 11.8.09

Reba...Reba...Reba...what do I say about Reba?

She's adorable...we love her...she's a mess...she is going to be very big! We got her on the 8th of November...Tim's early b-day gift. ; )

She will be an outside dog eventually because my allergies can't handle her indoors all the time.

I think she will become TJ's best-friend very soon. ; )

Ladybug Baby Shower/Birthday 11.7.09

TJ had his first shower on my BIRTHDAY! The ladybugs did an awesome job....it was a great shower. I got to see friends that I normally only get to say hi to on FB or once in a while in person. I loved the shower and had so much fun!

Camping at Mission Tejas 10.23 - 10.25

This was my first camping trip that wasn't absolutely horrible! It was only cold one night and we didn't see any rain! Hardly any bugs with the exception of some daddy long legs. The bathrooms were cleaned everyday...very nice and the grounds were great!

Update on baby

Here's a picture from our big ultra sound! He's so cute! If you can not tell...it's his head/face with his elbows facing us.

6:30 am Off-season Soccer practice

We have been doing these early morning practices for about 2 1/2 weeks now and have 2 weeks left. It is going well...it's pretty consistent with the same athletes each day. I think they are doing so well and I know they will feel a difference once season starts. Those that haven't been attending will feel the difference as well...only the opposite! ; )

I'm proud of those that have been attending....it is a pretty big commitment! You know who you are....give yourselves a pat on the back! GREAT JOB!!! Hang in there....it will pay off!

Baby McGivern's new Ride!!!

Well we bought a new/used small SUV! We like it though...it's awesome so far!

Tim's car is just too small and my car was a POC! Therefore, the new SUV!

Our 20 week ultra sound (yesterday) was not done on the big machine but our doctor assures us that Peanut has a little wee wee!!!

Tim and I could not see what the doctor was talking about but the highlighted area in the pictures says BOY!

Baby McGivern

Hello Family and Friends, Tim and I wanted to share the newest picture of Peanut! We went in for our 16 week check up and everything is looking great! Peanut even waved at us during the ultrasound...it was so cool to see movement. It was also awesome to see the heartbeat again...GOD is so amazing!

The doctor tried to look for privates but Peanut insisted on crossing the legs...no luck there. Well our next appointment is at the end of this month on Sept. 29th. The next one will be with the high power ultrasound machine so hopefully Peanut will cooperate and not be shy so that we can find out if Peanut is a BOY or GIRL!

Thank you all for your continued prayers! I am feeling much better and am starting to get my energy back...which is very much needed.

We look forward to sharing more stories in the future.

Visit the Baker's

Before my conference in Austin I made a little trip to visit one of the Ladybugs. Sarah, Kendall and I hung out at their place and caught up on everything.

Sarah showed me their new house and all the work they are having down on it. It's gonna be a beautiful house. And they are gonna have some awesome neighbors as well.

That evening Brett came home and Sarah cooked dinner. Yummy dinner....I loved it.

The next morning I had to leave early for the start of my conference.

It was a great time...short but awesome.

It started out as a normal day

We just heard that Heather's dad had a seizure today and they rushed him to the hospital for cat scans. Shortly afterwards we heard that there is a tumor that is affecting his memory. We would like to ask that you say a quick little prayer for him and we will continute to keep you updated as we find out more. We thank you in advance for your prayers.

Hello Everyone,

What a two day ride this has been.

God is good! Praise God and thank you all for praying.

Friday:
I was at work going about my regular day. I had just finished working out for my Physical Therapy...ran to teach my first 3rd grade class. Between two of my classes I went to my office...picked up my phone and saw that 2 of my sisters and Tim had all tried to call me. I knew right then that something was wrong with my mom or dad. It was the worse feeling.

My parents were having a garage sale when one of their customers starting yelling..."He fell down!" "He fell down!" My sister whose husband is prone to seizures was the first one to reach my dad. (Out of all my sisters...God placed her there for this reason) He fell flat on his back hitting the top of his head on cement. It took about 5 minutes before he came out of it but was still in a daze.

After getting all the messages and phone calls I informed my boss about the news. She took over my next class (blessing) as I was heading out the door to the hospital. I was on my way out the door when I realized that I didn't have a car....Tim and I have been carpooling into work and he had the car with him. While I waited for him to bring the car I sat at my desk and just started praying...one of my co-workers/friends came into the office and saw my red teary eyed face and started praying (blessing) with me. After talking to her and settling down I decided to jump in the shower to rinse off from my workout...no sooner than I was done Tim was there.

While in the ambulance the EMT starting asking my dad questions..."Do you know what day it is?", "Who is the president?", "Do you have any children?"...all of which he answered wrong or couldn't answer. He said he had a son that has 4 children...he has 5 daughters with 10 grandchildren! ; ) All of which we teased him about later.

I dropped Tim off at work and started my way to Memorial Hermann in Sugar Land. On the way there one of my sisters called and informed me that the doctors did a CT scan on my dads head and informed them that they needed to transfer him to the Med Center immediately! The doctor told my sisters and mom that he had a mass on the left side of his brain and that he would need surgery.

I arrived just before they transferred him to the Med Center. I walked in the room where three of my sisters and mom were standing around my dad on his bed holding his hands. I gave my dad a hug and kiss and asked him how he felt. He said he felt okay and then looked at one of my sisters and ask what he did. My sister told him that he had a seizure and that everything was going to be okay. He responded with, "Grrreaaaat!"

Two minutes later he looked up at my sister again and ask, "What did I do?" My sister responded and he said, "Grrreaaaat!" That was so hard to see especially from our dad who never gets sick or has any problems. His gotten hurt in the past but always bounces right back.

They took him in an ambulance to Memorial Hermann in the Med Center...my sisters and I rushed over as well only to sit in the Emergency room for 6 hours with each one of us going back to his trauma room to sit with him. They finally placed him in a room around 8 pm. However, they forgot to order his MRI and medicine for him to take. This was very frustrating.

As the night went on...my dad started getting his memory back but still had no clue as to what happened that morning.

My dad started feeling a lot better and becoming more and more himself. So my sisters, Tim and I left the hospital around 11:30 that night so they could get some sleep.

Saturday:
My mom said they came into change out my dad's IV around 4:30 this morning. Around 7 that morning the PA came into tell them that my dad was in perfect health and that they wanted to push him up the line to get his MRI. If the MRI came back clear they said they would release him today.

They took my dad in for his MRI and around 11:30 the results came back and the doctor said there was nothing there. He said he wasn't even sure what the other doctor saw on the CT scan. The doctor also informed us that he didn't even think my dad had a seizure. They released him around 1 pm today.

PRAISE GOD!!!!

My family and I are praising God that there is nothing there but we still think that something is wrong and that my dad should get further testing. The doctor gave my dad a prescription for an EEG testing and to get his heart looked at. As we are very thankful that there is no mass on my dad's brain we would still like some answers as to why he had a seizure or if it was a seizure at all.

Thank you all so very much for praying! I know God took care of my dad.

The count down begins.....

2 weeks and 3 days til Summer Break!

I can't wait! Europe trip being planned this week...I hope to spend LOTS of time with my nieces

and nephews...spend some time with the Harmon's and get some R&R in there. I also hope to get my house in order so that we can start inviting peeps over to celebrate our new house.

COME ON SUMMER BREAK!!!

Varstiy Softball comes to an end

The season went well but it was a very fast season. No sooner did we get started that the season ended. I'm sad that it's over but also glad because that means Summer Break is almost here.

We ended up being 4th in our district so we had to play a #1 ranked team from Austin. We couldn't have lost to a better team...Austin Hyde Park was a great team to play. They ended up going on to play Dallas Parish Episcopal in the next round and lost.

The season went great...I had a lot of fun serving as the second assistant to the team. I'm going to miss our two seniors....Ashley Clark and Jessica Klinge nberg. Good luck Ladies! Have fun in College!

5 year old T-Ball Team

Tim is coaching one of my nephew's t-ball team...Team Tigers! It's the cutest thing you'd ever see. Every time the ball is hit or thrown...the whole team would run and jump on the ball...even if they were the last to the ball. Yup...if you're thinking that this sounds like football...well that's what it looks like.

The team is so cute and Tim is doing an AWESOME job with it. I'm very proud of him.

Joe and Maggie's Wedding

One of my sister-n-laws was married on April 18th. It rained the night before and the day of but the OUTDOOR wedding went off without a hitch! Maggie was so calm and collected...she did awesome! I think I would have been a basket case had all that happened on my wedding day!

Moved in...not settled in

Well we are all moved into our new house. However, there have been very few nights that we have been home before 9 p.m.! I am looking forward to spending time at home over the summer. I am also looking forward to all the niece and nephew time I will get because I live so close.
