My First Mother's Day

My first mother's day was AMAZING!!!  TJ got me a massage so that I can use it this summer!  I'll have to find a babysitter for him so that I can relax!

Reba's Yard and Dog House

Tim built a fence in the backyard so that Reba would have her own yard. If you look close in the back of the middle and third picture...you will see the dog house that Tim built for her too. He did such an awesome job on the house and the fence...I am so proud of him.

We did this so that Reba wouldn't dirty/tear up the whole back yard. This will help us from having to clean up her poop every time TJ wants to go out in the backyard and help us have a nicer backyard. ; )

The dog house's roof opens so that you put her food in there and not have to reach in. Also Tim built a wall down the middle so that Reba can go around the corner and get out of the elements all together.

Tanner's Dedication

After TJ was dedicated in church on Sunday, April 25th, 2010 we took some pictures in the prayer garden at Second.

Lord, help us raise our little boy in the way that would Glorify you! We pray that TJ would see You in us and that he would come to know you early in life. Help us be Godly parents and teach him what it means to serve You. - Amen!

Hanging in there

We are hanging in there! TJ and I have 4 more weeks and 2 days till Summer Break!

TJ is loving hanging out with his Grandpa and Aunts! He is having so much fun from day to day! He gets a little over stimulated by the end of the day and week but we are doing okay. ; )

I have started taking pictures every morning before we leave so that I can look at his sweet face throughout the day. Tim also misses the times when I was at home and would send him pictures of his little guy throughout the day. So I send them to him so that he can still feel like he gets to see him as well.

The Weekend after the first week back to Work

Well we made it! The first week of not seeing my little guy every hour of the day was tough but we made it though. I loved Saturday...ALL I did was hang out with Tanner. Tim worked in the yard and hung out with his brother but TJ and I hung out in the house all day long. It was awesome!

I still couldn't put him in the nursery on Sunday for Church...so he came with us to Sunday School and church. He ended up fussing in class so I had to take him out and walk around until class let out but I just couldn't bare leaving him with one more person that week.

We will see how this week goes...I teared up this morning when dropping him off at Aunt Julie's but I'm doing okay as of right now. It's hard but I think a lot easier than if I were just leaving him at daycare. THANK YOU LORD for awesome family!

Well...it is time for class...I better get in there.

Friday, April 9th

Tanner was hanging with Mrs. Tiffany and her daughter Allie on Friday. We didn't get any pictures but Mrs. Tiffany said he slept a lot that day. Maybe he was growing that day...I hope that was it.

Anyway...Mrs. Tiffany took great care of TJ and he was a happy camper. When Daddy picked him up they came to my softball game out at FBBA. We lost but it was TJ's first softball game...and I didn't even take a picture. : (

Anyway...that is that!

Where is Tanner today?

This week was my first week back from maternity leave. : ( Very sad week but I am doing okay!Everyone kept telling me that it gets easier and I will say...each day is better than the one before.

TJ and I had our two month doctor appointments on the 5th (Monday) and we passed with flying colors! I was released back to work and full activity but poor little TJ got his two month rounds of shots. : ( He screamed/cried and I cried as well. It was so sad...such a sad
little cry.

Tim and I can not wait till this weekend to spend some time with Him...we miss him so much!

Maternity Leave....

I have been off for over a month now and basically we have just been getting used to having a baby. Working on a schedule and letting TJ cry it out and just catching up with friends I do not see very often.

Not much housework gets done...still trying to figure out where my day goes! ; ) I know all you mom's out there know what I'm talking about!

We are taking a lot of pictures...unfortunately it's been with my iPhone. It doesn't just download...I have to send it to myself through email and then download to the computer. It's very frustrating but it's the only camera I have handy at any moment.

Well, most likely I will be returning to work the first week of April. I'm ready for a schedule but not ready to give TJ up. I know it will be a really sad day when I have to go back. : (

I will post more pictures later...Here's a picture of my doctor who brought TJ into the world.

Welcome Tanner Jacob McGivern

Okay...okay...so I haven't updated the blog in a very long time! I am sorry! ; )

Well on Feburary 4th, 2010 we welcomed our baby boy into the world...TJ weighted 6 lbs and 11 oz!
