I {Heart} Fall

I LOVE FALL- pumpkins, baking, the cooler weather. The cooler weather makes me so happy- it means I can break out the boots and scarfs and fall decorations! Thought I would share with you- my mantle isn't finished so I am not posting pictures yet!

Our Best Bites: "Rotisserie" Chicken I made this last night and thought I would share the perfect way to make the perfect "Rotisserie" chicken with minimal effort! This is a MUST try and this website is great also- I have been using so many recipes from this site- this is where I learned about Peanut Butter Syrup (a new staple food at the Ruby House)

Family Day

Interstate Batteries had their annual Family Day- this year it was in Rockwall at Shananiganz. Kirt & Sam rode g0-karts

And yes, they had bowling shoes n Caroline's size too- see this nifty ramp that helped guide her ball! She got 2 spares!

Their favorite part was waiting on the ball to return- they were fascinated by this!

Can you believe who won?! Yes my 2 year old, Caroline, beat us at bowling- very sad I know- but the kids did have bumpers! I don't think anyone will every invite Kirt & I to be on their bowling team. What is even sadder is that Tracey & I took bowling for 2 semesters in college- I know my parents would be proud!

Sam & I also did laser tag but have no pictures to show!

When it rains it pours....

We had a hunge rain last week- the electricity was out for almost 5 hours. It is pretty boring with no electricity and no air conditioner.

Kirt & I have decided that we are going to retire at a nice secluded place on the lake just like this- so relaxing!

Of course the kids LOVED the crafts my mom did with them. Emerson said it was her favorite thing all day! She made puff paint with shaving cream & glue & paint- so cool!

Proof that a diaper can hold ALOT of water- poor baby- her booty was making her off balance! My dad told her to run because I was going to take her picture and show it to embarass her some day!

What a great weekend! We went to my Uncle's house for the annual family reunion for my dad's family. We are exhausted! We haven't been able to go for the last few years- new babies born in August, weddings, etc. so we had LOTS of catching up to do!

Friday Night Lights

So the weather in Texas got cooler and I thought this family MUST go to a football game. Our friend & neighbor plays for Rowlett so we headed for the stadium to cheer for Logan. I think I was more excited than the kids-football games bring back fun memories. We had a great time- sorry the pictures aren't clear- I took them with my phone. I only have pictures of the girls because Sam was way too busy to sit down for a quick picture!
