Seaquarium

Hannah's favorite place to visit in Miami is the seaquarium.  She says she wants to be a part-time dolphin trainer (in addition to being a full-time teacher).  Jackson also likes to visit and see the whale.  

This girl melts my heart!  She uses these little chairs to climb up and get whatever she wants...like a taste of muffin batter.

I promise, sometimes he does smile.

Sanibel Island and Naples

We decided to take a little weekend trip to the Gulf side of Florida and visit Sanibel Island and Naples.  To get there we had to drive through the Everglades.  We so so many alligators on the side of the road!  Sanibel Island is a "shelling" island.  There are shells everywhere and the kids had fun collecting them.  It is a small, quiet place and covered in greenery, it reminded me a little of Hawaii.  

We also went to Naples, which is a beautiful city, it reminded me of Newport Beach, CA.  There is a big pier there and from it you are almost guaranteed to see a dolphin.  We saw many dolphins there and it was fun to watch the sunset over the ocean, something we don't see on the east coast.  The sand on the Gulf coast is powdery and white, like flower.

Jane is 1!!!!

 

My sweet baby Jane is 1!  Sweet is the perfect word to describe her.  Everyone who meets her just loves her so much.

She tries so hard to communicate.  She constantly points at things and babbles or grunts.  She does know a few words including dog, cat, mama, dada, Jack Jack, Hannah, baby, juice and hi.

She loves to be "big" like her siblings.  She has to do everything they do.  She thinks she is in charge of everyone (and let's be honest, she pretty much is).  She is easy going most of the time, but will also fight to get her way (mostly with Jackson).

She is cuddly and gives lots of hugs and kisses.  She laughs all the time.  She loves baby dolls and little chair that she can sit in.  She loves to read books and will bring you a book and sit in your lap and beg you to read to her.

She is pretty picky about food.  Her favorites are pasta, cheese, peas and smoothies.

For her birthday we made her a smoothie for dinner!  We had cake and ice cream but she only at the ice cream.  She was so excited to open presents of her very own!  She got a baby doll from my parents and a stroller from us.  She prefers to have the kids push her in the stroller.
