Outdoor Soccer

I'm not gonna lie, I'm kinda missin outdoor soccer already! I thought I really needed a break from 2 games almost every day, but I'm missing it. Thankfully, we get to go to St. George for a tournament next week! Thought I would post a few of my Favorite pics for now.

 

Brooklynn's and Matt's Birthday Party

Sadie Hawkins

Sadie Hawkin's is a Girl choice dance.  The theme this year was "Thriller".  Kaylie asked one of her best buds from our old ward to go with her.  Eli Norton.  I got to do the photo shoot for this group.  The kids looked way cool!  This was a fun shoot!

  So, I'm gonna be doin some jumping around with my posts and add some of our most recent events.

Sterling's Birthday

Sterling's Birthday was yesterday, he is now 36!  I think he has been a little down about his age.  He thinks he's getting too old.  Hmmm.... 36.... Not too old in my book!  We have been celebrating for a few weeks now.  Since he had been robbed of all his tools a few weeks ago, he was in need of some so we go all the family to go in on this-

He Loves it! Last weekend, we went to Happy Sumo with our friends and ate and ate and ate.  We were so hungry. Sunday we had dinner with my family to celebrate brother-in-law Clint's and Sterling's Birthday's which are a week apart.

Finally, on his Birthday.  We celebrated just with our family, (and his parents).  This was the time for the kids to all have the opportunity to make something or get a gift from them.  We just recently started this the past year.  I always just bought a big gift and said it was from everyone.  Now they are on their own and have to come up with their own ideas.

 Lily and Landon made the Poster and came up with their own little sayings.  I thought they did a great job!

I think he had a good Birthday.  He is such a great Dad and Husband, and deserves to be spoiled for a few weeks!  We love him!

Lily Indoor Soccer

Lily is Number 12.  She is scoring a goal!

 

Lily loves soccer and plays all positions.  Her favorite is forward, of coarse.  She loves to score.  Sometimes she is put in the goal and isn't very happy with it, but we teach her to go where her coach needs her.  I absolutely love to watch her. 

Elder Bednar

Yesterday, we had the opportunity to go to Stake Conference and listen to Elder Bednar speak.  This was an opportunity that my family may not ever have again and I was so grateful that we went.  He is funny, inspiring, well educated and amazing!  He spoke on Submition and the willingness to do God's work.  Instead of writing all of his words here is a picture of my notes.

Hopefully you can read it.  He gave such a good talk and has inspired me to do and be better.  I don't serve as much as I should.  He really opened my eyes to how family is so important, but so is God and we need to remember our service to him as much as our service to our family.

This is me. I'm trying.

Just to begin,  I am A.D.D. and if you are reading my blog you will probably notice by my jumping all over the place.  Second, I write on an elementary level.  I don't claim to know it all, I don't know it all and you will find that I probably write like a third grader.  I am a simple minded person that can only get to the point and don't have the capablility to fluff my words.  I like pictures,  I can tell a better story with pictures than I can with words.  Then there is another problem with me, thanks to my sweet parents, I have a little OCD.  I am way to critical of my own pictures and have a hard time posting them or letting anyone see my results.  Everyone that knows me, knows this and has a hard time getting their Family Photos from me because of this.  I feel much better if they are in my vault than the thought that I have failed again at making the perfect picture.  This is me and I am going to try to work on some of these things and also try to get over the guilt of my family not being able to see all of their great pictures that I have taken.  I am opening the vault.  I have been inspired by some of my friends and some other amazing bloggers to record my familie's life and knowing that I have missed so much, it's never too late right?  I follow one amazing blog and where she is definately more educated and way more talented than I am, she is inspiring to me.  71toes.blogspot.com, I think it is amazing how she records her families life with the perfect amount of pictures and words.  I am inspired.  I am going to try to open my vault and make a record for me and my family.

Good Girls

  I don't know what I did or How I deserve such good girls, but I got them!  Last night Kaylie calls me from a Football game and says, "Mom can you come get me?  I have a lot of homework I need to get done."  Really???  I would have never done that when I was a teenager.  Then, Brooklynn comes to me and says, "Mom, could you get me a whole bunch of CTR rings?" "What for? I asked."  "I want to give them to all the struggling kids at school.  I'm making them all promise me that they will start to Choose The Right."  If any of you know Brooklynn, she is not afraid to speak her mind and let people know how she feels.  I'm so proud of them, they are already far better Teenagers than I ever was!

Whew... I think I got it all! Unfortunately that is not all that is on our agenda this week. We will make it though. I wish Kaylie had her licence.  I'm so proud of my kids, they are Awesome!

Summer Craze....

Anyone feel like summer has already come and gone? With August approaching, school clothes and supplies on sale at the stores and fireworks have come and gone. I feel like I was too busy for summer and I let it slip away. I'm sad.... I had a plan to do so much with my kids, to go here and there and where were we??? Probably on a soccer field or cleaning the house. SAD!!! Now, I want to make a plan to ignore the stupid sales and commercials and hopefully slow down and enjoy how green the mountains still are at the end of July. The sweet scent of an early summer morning while on my run. And our gorgeous summer evening rainstorm followed by the most beautiful sunsets. Twenty six days of summer left, enjoy it!

Gotta Blog Again!!!!

So, I'm gonna start blogging again for the sake of my children and my laziness to not get scrapbooks done! I will be jounaling a lot so therefor I have decided to go Private. Cox Family

We got together for Moms birthday and wanted to get in at least one photo, since it is so hard to get us together to take pics. Yeah, we really need to get some good pics, but at least we have some kind of pic right!

Christmas Party with the Friends

We told all of our husbands that we were going to Texas Roadhouse for dinner.... Little did they know that we had planned a surprize for them! First we made them open a gift which had Ugly Sweaters in them that they had to put on right then.
Then we sent them on a scavanger hunt in their ugly sweaters to many places through the county.

The last stop was Canyon wills where we met them and took them up to the Cabin in Sundance. We had Wallaby's take out for dinner, did white Elephant....

Decorated Gingerbread houses and played some games. So much fun, such great friends, Good Times!!!
