Ruthie says...

I am 19 weeks old!

Three things about me:
1. I sleep in my own room at night now.
2. I am starting to like tummy time (not a whole lot, but a little bit).
3. I am grabbing at things.

Cozy Piece of Family History

Last summer we were given a ton of baby clothes by our cousins Amanda and James. Amongst them was a little piece of family history. Somehow Amanda had ended up with this sweater which was made by our grandmother for her first grandchild, our cousin Matthew.  I find it amazing that a baby sweater made for a cousin twelve years older than I am is still being worn by a baby in our family. We will defiantly be hanging on to this treasure until it is our turn to pass it on.

Ruthie says...

I am 18 weeks old!

Three things about me:
1. I weigh 12 lb 14 oz.
2. I like books.
3. I rolled from my tummy to my back for the first time! I have no idea how I did that.

Lazy Mornings and Tummy Time

We have been enjoying the occasional lazy morning as a family. It is great to be able to spend time together. Ruthie loves to sit on our bed with us; she smiles and chatters. We love to see her personality coming out.

Ruthie is finally beginning to enjoy tummy time. By "enjoy" I mean that she doesn't cry the moment I put her on her tummy. She will last a few minutes before she gets really mad. We are working on it though.

Ruthie says...

I am 17 weeks old!

Three things about me:
1. I sleep through the night most of the time...but not last night.
2. I have out grown my 0-3 month clothes.
3. Daddy had to move up the shoulder straps on my car seat.

Great Visit

We had a great visit from Kevin. He came out our way to check out some dental practice opportunities. It was nice to visit with him. Ruth enjoyed meeting her uncle.

While he was here she wore this sweater (made by Aunt Tiffany) for the first time. My mom calls it her little red ridding hoodie.

Ruthie says...

I am 16 weeks old!

Three things about me:
1. I like to suck my fists.
2. I love my Uncle Kevin. I love him so much that I leaked on him today at church.
3. I can be very vocal and chatty, unless you try to catch it on video... then I am so quiet.

Cooking Buddies

Christian made a delicious cheesecake on Sunday, and he didn't do it alone. He strapped Ruthie to his chest and said, "Okay you, let's bake!"

 This is Christian's cheesecake. It has a chocolate buttermilk cookie top. We shared this yummy treat with with our friends the Fletchers.
