Health/Faith

Let me start by giving you my present weight......227 lbs

I don't feel completely unhealthy, but I do know that I could feel so much better! In order to drop weight and tone my body I am going to start off by changing my eating habits and using EA Active on the Wii. Which I will start today. It will keep track of my weight, calories, etc....

Later in the year I hope to utilize the Student Health center at SIUC. I don't know how this will workout because of my schedule and I have never been in the place. I will also be riding my bike frequently to help with my cardio. My main goal is to improve my quality of life.

To improve my faith I will read the Bible everyday and through obeying 1 Thessalonians 5:17 "Pray without ceasing."

My target weight is 187 lbs....

LiveRight!

Health and Spirit

There are two things that throughout my life have fluctuated. That is the closeness of my walk with Jesus Christ and my health. That being said, I would like to give myself a challenge and then frequently blog with developments about the condition of my faith and health. I think that for many reasons these two can have a great impact on each other. At times I have felt strong in faith yet my health had suffered and vice versa. So the challenge is to drop 40 lbs by the end of the year and meditate on the word of God daily. I will try my hardest to get on here and write about my daily workouts and daily Bible readings. I have been reading mostly in Psalms lately and will continue to do so. I am at a point right now where I thirst for the word and I love the Psalms, so that is where I will start. I will keep you posted on my daily thoughts and revelations. For the sake of naming this experience I will call it my Health/Faith Pilgrimage. Let's get started! LiveRight!

All Star Game, etc..

I figured I would do a quick entry regarding the All Star Game and what not...

I thought the game was awesome! I wish that Pujols would've contributed at the plate, and I also wish the NL would win one for once!

I thought that the game felt very genuine and classy....

It was like a breathe of fresh air! It was refreshing to see both sides actually compete and try to win the game....After this year I am feeling ok about the All-Star Game meaning something, because it was fun to watch...Great job by Carl Crawford on the home run rob of Brad Hawpe, that the best highlight! I was also glad to see Stan "The Man" Musial get the respect that he deserves! He is timeless and the heart and soul of Cardinals baseball...

I DVRed the game and watched it late at night....Which I must say was a pretty good way of doing it...It cut the gametime by a lot since I could skip through all the commercials! I was happy to finally see more of a game instead of commercials! I was pleasantly suprised with our President and how he handled the whole situation. He was relaxed and having fun which is what the night is all about! I can't wait until tomorrow night whenever baseball starts back up again! The second half should be a doozy! C'mon Cardinals, lets win the Pennant! I really hope that the Cardinals get Roy Halladay, he is one of my favorites to watch!

I have a little over a month until school starts back up! There is a lot to get done in that amount of time! It will come fast and I am ready! I love school and can't wait to hop back into things full force! See ya until next time

The Blogger is back!

Hey everyone!!!!

Man it has been awhile since my last post.....My social life has been taken over by Twitter!

So what are the new developments in my life?

Well as of May 8Th my place of employment no longer is operable.....This is awful and seemingly was inevitable due to the State of Illinois not paying its bills in a timely manner...It took the company I worked for 550 days to get paid for work done for the State...550 days!!!Are you kidding me? How could any company operate under those circumstances? It is easy, they just simply can not!!! Make me sad, mad, and frustrated every time I think about it so on to other news!

This summer has been filled with a lot of hard lessons, but I am grateful that I have experienced them, because I feel as if I am a better person because of it all! Anyone who is close to me knows what all I have been through...It has been a test, and I hope that I have passed, or at least I am on my way to an A in the course... Who is the teacher? Well Jesus Christ of course! The King above all kings!

The new school year is right around the corner! First and foremost I hope that I am able to attend...That is a whole different issue and I am looking forward to finding out exactly what will transpire....

On a lighter note, tonight is the home run derby at St. Louis, MO!!!!I am looking forward to seeing some balls fly...

Tiff and I went and saw The Proposal two nights ago at the late showing...It was a blast and I am glad we did it! It was a pretty funny movie starring Ryan Reynolds and Sandra Bullock...Definitely a chick flick, but oh well I enjoy those too!

Well I am off now to take a bike ride! Well begin posting more I promise! Stay tuned.......

Lately

Lately things have been going by so fast....

It is now March 27th and before long this semester will be over.....

This project we are doing right now is due April 27th which gives us adequate time, but my mind is on the final project which will be started probably April 29th.....

This gives a couple weeks to get it done....

If history is any indication of what it will be like, it should be a lot of work in a short amount time.....

We had an assignment due last week that was kind of a fun one to do....

We had to visit the campus beach house and basically conduct a field report on it....

I had never been to the beach house and probably won't go back until it is something different....

It was nasty and I doubt anyone ever visits it....

My proposal is to make it a timber framed conference facility that the university and students can use to host parties, conferences, etc....

Anyway, it was just good to get outside and walk around the campus lake.....

This should be an interesting month....Stay tuned
