it's me once again

i haven't been posting much and i don't really know what to say, so i'll do some little "favorites" q and a thingies ;)

okay well i can't think of anything else and sawyer's only giving me ones I've already done sooo moving on.


tomorrow's the last day of school before spring break! but since i have a band trip over spring break, i have a few rehearsals at EIGHT IN THE MORNING on thursday and monday... so no sleeping in for me hahahah.


i have this class at school that's kind of an extra class for """"smart"""" kids, it's called encore. anyway, my group in encore is making a movie for a project over the filmmaking unit, and it's a pretty great movie. we're almost done with the script and there's an elevator scene that i think we're going to film at the hotel during the band trip? i don't know but we can almost start filming so that's good.


anyways, the band trip! we're going down to Atlanta for 2 days to play at a really important concert festival that only like 5 middle schools got into, the rest being high schools/colleges! anyways, since i had so much fun at the band trip last year, I'm really excited for this one!!


i'm in eighth grade this year and I've already registered for classes at high school, and i have the usual, like math, English, science, and social studies, but for my extra classes, we had to pick 4, i chose, lifetime wellness, French, band (concert band AND/OR marching i haven't chose yet), and theater. theater was my last choice though so i'm not sure if i'll get it.


the weather here has been seriously crazy. it was really warm during February but on march 1st it started getting cold, and the cold came in so fast that it brought tornadoes... it's been cold && kind of rainy since then, and not as warm. Nashville, why do you have to do this?!


sawyer's 11 now and he's playing percussion in the school band. he's pretty good, actually.


coen is 4 and he's learning everything so fast, it's like he's catching up from all the past years when he was a "baby." he goes on the 'potty' and only has accidents sometimes (somedays more than others). he talks in full sentences, he can write his name, he knows his letters and colors and shapes and numbers. he loves to help cook and he loves to go to school!


cate also loves to go to school, though sometimes she has a little bit of missing her mommy when she leaves. she's a big girl, and she says a lot more words now. she just started sleeping in a bed last weekend, and she's already done so well that we took the crib out of her room. she's turning 2 on Friday! she's already in what seems like her terrible two's, and i really hope it's a phase, cause she's such a sweet little girl. if you need birthday ideas,  think along the idea of peppa pig haha!


oh and speaking of birthdays... mine comes after cate's! all i really want is a hedgehog! they are so cute! also proabably clothes and shoes... but mostly a hedgehog!!!!!!

Battle of the Books

    hi!

i'm doing this thing at school called battle of the books, or bob for short ;)

so there's 20 books on the list and you're in teams of 5, and later in the year there's a school wide contest with trivia questions about the books. the questions start with "in which book...?" and the answer is a book title. and then whichever team wins for the school, they go on to compete with other schools and the winner of that gets a huge awesome prize and yeah!

i'm not telling you guys this so you can compete. i'm saying this cause i love books and everyone else should love books! and there are only REALLY good books in the contest!

hello there

looks like I haven't posted in a while!

quick recap of my life since I last posted:

April: band trip to Atlanta! I had lots of fun... we got a 'superior' on our performance ;)

May: umm last day of 7th grade!!

June: band camp! also my aunt Becky came to visit from Oregon!

July: ok this month is actually interesting. we went to Oregon (thanks aunt Becky for flying back with us and the monsters named Coen and Cate!!). we stayed with family and did lots of fun things, like staying at a rental house in Rockaway Beach!

August: another interesting month... we started school; sawyer: 5th grade (middle school!!!) and I stated 8th grade, the last year at my middle school, so me and sawyer are in the same school once again... *rolls eyes*. we also adopted Cate! So I officially have a sister!!

September: this month. i can't believe it's almost the end of September already! crazy! umm well we just had school... and that's going well. and next week is fall break so i'm happy because no school and not so happy cause Coen and Cate are, well, crazy.

The play at my school is Peter Pan this year! And I'm a pirate! I unfortunately don't have a line or anything, but my school is KNOWN for good plays (and band concerts haha) so if you're in Nashville the performances are in early December!!

Long time no post?

    Yeah, it's been long, but not as long as my mom! Anyways. I have a baby sister now. I just realized I've never blogged about her, not even been on here when she's even here!! Well she is Coen's actual sister. They look very much alike and Coen loves her so much. Oh wait, I forgot to mention HER NAME. Cate. :)

I'm sure you guys have already seen her via Facebook and Instagram (btw my insta is @thesavjoy) and that's great. But if you haven't, I'm so sorry but I can't put a picture of her on here because she's still in the foster care system and that's kind of against the law rules. :)

Coen just turned three earlier this month and he's such a big boy now! He's almost completely potty trained and he goes to pre school!! {I would put a picture but I can't figure out how} Coen is so caring and loves to point out everything.  "Danna (Savannah) I know sumptin!" is a great line of his! He loves a show called PJ Masks and Blues Cluses of course, taking after his big sister!! But don't let his sweetness and love of vegetables fool you (oh did I not mention that) because he's also a little trouble maker!! :)

Sawyer just got an iPad for his 10th (TENTH? WOW!) birthday and I bet you can guess how he is with that. He is a fan of pizza and lunchables and takes American Ninja Warrior classes at a nearby gym. He really seems to love them and he snows someone from the show!! He now shares a room with Coen and is seeming to look forward to when Coen is older so they can have fun in their boy hideout place. :)

I'm enjoying 7th grade! I have the best teachers and great friends who are always there for me :) I love books and bikes and Instagram. And coming up is a band trip! (I play the flute) We are going to Atlanta to a hotel where we have 4 people to a room and then having a pool party right in the hotel! I'm so excited! Of course we'll also have to play a preformance but that will go great! I'll definitely blog about this trip!

Have any of you guys read The Selection? How did you like it??

Currently reading: I'd Tell You I Love You But Then I'd Have to Kill You. by Ally Carter. And yeah I know it sounds violent but so far, no. It's about girls who go to spy school.

Also have any of you people watch Fuller House? ITS SO GOOD AMIRIGHT??!!? It's a future Full House with the real kids of the actresses and everything, it's so cool! I would suggest watching it it's on Netflix :)

Ok I feel like there is more to say but I don't know what I was going to say now. I am going to try and post more often (especially since I have my iPad taken away right now) so yeah :) thanks for putting up with me and my sideways smiley faces :))) heehehe see you later!

School😐

  I start 7th grade on Wednesday. THIS WEDNESDAY. August 5th, 2015. I start 7th, Sawyer starts 4th, and in September (which is when school is known to start,) Coen will start his 2nd year of Mothers' Day Out at a church by us. I am not typing this on the computer like I usually do so its hard. I'm typing it on my iPhone. So I have emojis!! 😆😊😉😍😎😇 Lol if you're on the computer you probably can't see them very well, so I'm sorry about that. Let's get back on topic.

I have 2 book reports and a math packet due on the first day of school. It's because I'm in the Cambridge program. It's an advanced program based off of Cambridge University. So that's it. It's harder, but more visual and stuff like that. So yeah.

The books I read for the book report were both really really good!! The first one was called This is What Happy Looks Like by Jennifer E. Smith. And the second one was even better than the fort one it's called Life as We Knew it by Susan Beth Pfeffer. They are both JUST SO GOOD!!! 😭😝📚

Read them. Now.

Okay well that's really the end of the blog post today so I'll do another one about school later, you know, once school actually starts!! So bye!!!

Almost Over

School is almost, almost, THIS  CLOSE TO BEING over. Thank you! The pool opened, and now I'm going swimming every day. (I hope) And I have only 1 and a half days of school left. Tuesday, and a half day Wednesday. Because Memorial Day is Monday,  so no school. And that's all I had to say. Oh, wait, no it's not. I just need to say that I got into the advanced program at school called Cambridge. It's a program based off of a university in Europe. It's more visual. But I'll tell you about that later. Right now I'm going swimming! So Byeeeeee! That's it. Short and sweet :). I'm just happy the school year is

Stuck Inside: Winter Weather

My three day weekend (the weekend and day of MLK Day) somehow turned into at least an eleven day weekend.... as snow days. School of all last week, today, and will be tomorrow. (Maybe even more!) And believe this, I ONLY WENT OUT OF THE HOUSE 4 OR 5 TIMES. I am tired of being trapped in a house with three annoying brothers and leftovers. My mom's going crazy too. And, to only make it worse, there was only actual SNOW for probably one and a half days. The rest was freezing rain, sleet, an ICE. Oh, the ice... When it snowed, we played outside of course. And we of course made footprints. And snowballs that didn't get thrown. And Sawyer even half made a snow fort. But, the next day, we went outside, and IT WAS ALL, ALL, ALL, ALL FROZEN. The whole year was literally ice. The footprints were frozen as they were yesterday, but ICE. Same for Sawyer's snow fort. ALL ICE. The roads, too. So school canceled itself for the rest of the week. Did I say the roads were frozen!? Our 4 wheel drive car (aka the Sequoia) got hit by a deer, which cracked the windshield in front of the driver, took off the left mirror, FLEW OVER the car, (making dents in the side doors the whole way) took out the back brake light (it's only hanging by a wire) and landed. on the ground. behind our car. leaving us all in shock. (Btw, we're all okay! Thank God!) So now we have a rental car minivan, with no 4WD. :-(. So we only got out of the house a few times and even then, we did slip on the icy roads. :-O. So I've been bored and also reading (Hunger Games: Mockingjay)(I LOVE THE HUNGER GAMES) and on Instagram and Virtual Families 2 and playing Monopoly and Apples to Apples. I never thought I'd say this, (not even when I started this post) but I NEED to go back to school. Please, Metro Nashville Schools, GET ME OUT OF THIS HOUSE. 

Oh wait, I take it back, I have a math test on Friday. Never mind Metro Nashville Schools. ;-).
